Using a Limited Company & its info
 

I have a perminantly limited account in my own name at my own address. I also have a Limited Company that has never had an eBay or PayPal account, but with a registered office is at my own address as that's where I trade from.
I have a stealth account that reaching it's limits so need to get a new account in place incase I have trouble with it.
My questions are:
If I use a new IP address on my PC, open eBay & PayPal accounts in the Limited Company name with my address will I get linked to the old account.
Do I have to supply eBay & PayPal with directors names & details.
When the account reaches it's limits will eBay accept invoices in the Comapny name & Certificate of Incorporation as proof of identity as obviously photo proof, drivers licence etc aren't available.

Be careful with this

They will use companies house - therefore you know what is available on the public register

Account will need to be set up from the get go in all the companies details but you will have to supply a contacts name.

Do NOT use the same telephone number and do NOT use a mobile number. The registered address could be an issue.

My advise would be to change the registered address and wait until the new address shows at Companies House. Also possibly change directors name - though this could have some implications for your bankers.

Thanks Gran. Changing Directors will cause a problem with the bank. However I have checked Companies house & unless eBay are will to pay for full details, which I don't think they would, all that is shown on the free lising is company name, address, registederd number, account dates. No directors details are shown, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Might have to wing it on the address & hope they link it.
Anyone know if they ask to see the contacts proof of identity?

I have had this once - I told them that the contact no longer worked for the company

They will want copy of certificate of Incorporation
Consider buying a domain name - Free email (Yahoo/gmail/hotmail) is not advisable

you could use there details, try create a sub account at the bank in another name, not usually a problem.

do not use the address

In-fact if your serious about your ltd company, do not even associate it with ebay or paypal especially if you intend to use it to trade on line IE with a website.

Make a stealth business account and attach it to your sub business account but pays your tax's through your real company.

i understand your desperation but don't make rash decisions that could ruin your real business which you would surly later regret
