Seller's email address?
 

I have bought something from eBay and the seller is taking two days to answer each question via the 'ask a question' on eBay. Four days later I still have another question.

I asked for their contact details and I got partial address and phone number but no email address.

Is there any method to get this?

Check your pp payment e-mail for seller's e-mail...should be the way.

If you have already bought the item from them you can get the info directly from Ebay. This is only available after you have completed the transaction.

Cheers guys. I haven't completed the transaction yet. I've won the item but I haven't paid for it through PayPal I mean.

In the auction I won the guy stated he had accidentally over-charged in the postage and would amend it for the winner. We're talking £30 difference! Lol.

So I don't have his email and he is talking ffffoooooorever to answer through eBay. I need the goods by Friday or it will be pointless.

The eBay messaging system goes to your email address. Having the sellers actual email address isn't likely to make much difference.

If you've got their phone number, why not call?

I understand it goes straight through eBay. So when I click 'respond' via my email address then my 'response' goes into his eBay account. He has told me he doesn't monitor it often - but if I had his email addy then at least it probably monitored more often.

His phone goes straight through to voicemail - think he may be stealth!! :clap:

Even though you haven't paid for it through Paypal you still have won the item. Just go into Ebay and look up "member contact info" then it will ask for the item number. Once you plug that in all of his info that he used for registration will come up. Including his phone number.

Everything but his email address comes up when I do that!?

Should it definitely come up? Can someone else check. An odd one.

I guess there is no way of getting a seller's email address prior to actually paying them. Bummer.

Well if it goes through to voicemail and he isn't returning your calls then I guess he doesn't take it serious enough as a seller to call a customer back. What makes you think that he will return a email if he won't return a phone call :suspicious:
