Is adding a credit card to PP really necessary?
 

Chaps,
in connection with one of my recent threads and probably of general interest to stealth newbies like myself:
If the stealth acct is linked to a bank acct and verified why do I even have to add a card? It doesn't seem to be a requirement. I can just transfer some money from the bank to PP so I can pay for purchases immediately (rather than having to wait for e-cheques to clear), can't I? And of course, once I start selling, I can withdraw funds to the bank. Hence the question Why do I even need to add card? I don't think I've ever used the card on file with previous PP accts I've had, because once I start selling there are always funds available for purchases...

Yeah - good idea - it's always sound business practise to let Paypal know that your real name doesn't match your stealth name.

Ok plainly:

1. Adding a card will CONFIRM the pp account and increase solidity/limits of sending or whatever.
2. Whenever you upload funds from your bank, a transfer receipt is generated. While this receipt is USUALLY inconsequential, if a pp person/thing/service decides to check the name on the receipt, your REAL name will show and a cross-ref COULD cause your account big problems...COULD...has happened to other folx.

One word: Priceless!
