changing my address just for 2 minutes?
 

Just have a quick experiement I want to find out about. If I have a different paypal address than my own and want to buy something will paypal notice at all if i change my address just long enough to run through checkout and then change it back?

Of course. Everything you do in your ebay/pp account is recorded..

You should have a separate account with real info for only buying.

2 minutes will get you banned in 2 hours...
even when you change the account back to the stealth addy, the other is still there and that raises a load of flags for ebay and paypal and makes it subject to review by the staff.

This is get picked up rather quickly and if you want to risk a decent account I would not.

You would be better of using a pp buying account and transferring money to it to buy something then doing this.

Nobody, you know better than that, that will get you linked!

Every address entered onto the ebay/paypal system, even for 2 minutes, gets recorded & held onto their system with regards to your account records with them.

As lakeman has said so, I would NEVER do this under the illusion that you MAY get away with it, you WON'T.....unless you want to risk the suspension/ban to this account.:pop2:

So then how do you get something shipped to your door without using any of your real info? That's whats got me stumped.

you think that if you change your address, make a purchase, then change it back nothing will happen?? :doh:

i accidentally made a purchase from one paypal on the wrong user account and i was limited almost immediately. in that case all i was asked to do was change my password and update my security questions. i got lucky.
