You need to verify the Paypal account as soon as the deposits land and then immediately remove the account.

I've use this method on 5 accounts and it has worked on all of them. Could be down to the individual bank.

I hear where your coming from but from past experience p/p look very closely at accounts that are continually having bank accounts added and deleted. It makes them very twitchy.

Basic bank accounts are easy to come by so I don't know why people persist in trying to set up solid working accounts using savers, they will cause unnecessary headaches that are easily avoided.

Never had a problem with any of them.

90% of my accounts are set up with basic accounts. Variety is the spice of life and I like to keep a lot of accounts

Whats the fixation with saver accounts just use basic banks accounts.

Opening lots of basic banks accounts involves going into branches, asking for them which makes me feel dodgy as hell. Crazy to think that way seen as the banks have been pulling the dodgy stunts over the years and the big stink thats in the news now.

You can also open basic accounts online just as easily if they are able to identify you electronically.

The problem is i am not registered as living at my address. I take it thats what you mean by identify electronically?

Do you know if we can open more basic bank accounts online at banks we are already members of? We'd sorta be identified electronically that way also?

I have never had to go into a branch to open a basic account with any bank therefore I must have opened them online. This applied to being both a new and existing customer of those banks as the are able to identify me by electronic means.

No need to read between the lines and guess wrongly.

If you are already with a bank you do not have to give identity again

If you have halifax or RBS easy cash or vise versa you will not have to give id again.

When i tried creating (new customer) accounts with halifax and RBS online both asked me to come into a branch with ID.

I can open current accounts with my existing bank online but wouldn't it be suspicious if i opened 3+ current accounts with them in one week???

noneother is right on the money with all his comments regarding savings accounts and i concur from my own experience

no need to wait until it gets kicked just leave well alone

there is an exeption to the "p/p will never accept that account again" rule

If you do it this way you need two savers and the second one you add has a limited shelf life.

If you remove it hen you have the two small deposits added to your PP , you can re attach the same savers again without submitting the DD mandate.

this way the savewrs should last, also it stops pp taking money from your bank account if things go tits up.

Something you can not do with current accounts.

Some isa's but most are limited by the amount of money you can add.

For example i have added a lloyds and halifax but then stopped using them becuase i could only add so much funds TAX FREE or not.
