I've had some accounts verified with savings accounts (Barclays e-savings) for over 2 weeks now, and they still have not been removed. I wonder how long they will stay for... |

| Elijah | 07-10-2012 03:45 PM | It was specifically that account that introduced me to the "hell" side of savings accounts actually, lol. It was the first bank account that I ever added to my PayPal, and was pleased to see that it made my account "verified". But then a day later, PayPal told me that the bank removed the direct debit mandate. And so hell freezes over... I immediately phoned PayPal up and got an extremely asthmatic assistant, who walked me through the steps of removing the account and adding it back again, and assured me that it would stay put the second time. But alas, it did not, and had again fallen prey.
That is when I phoned the bank and found out that these accounts were never designed to accept the direct debit mandate, which would explain them getting kicked so swiftly by PayPal. After that I did not use any such account with PayPal for some years, until I decided to try again with Barclays e-savings accounts, and Halifax online savers. And now I am pretty happy with the result that I have got... |
| GREEN LION | 07-10-2012 03:57 PM | @Elijah
But it shouldn't be a problem if i verify my pp with it and then remove it from pp and use it again when ever i want to withdraw ,witch i think its a very good Technic to keep paypal hands away from the money in the saving account. |
| NoneOther | 07-10-2012 04:02 PM | Continually adding and removing the same bank account from p/p will inevitably bring unwanted attention to the account.
Normal people don't do such things :thumb:
Why not just use a properly suitable account in the first place i.e. one that will accept a DD mandate? They're not hard to get and make life so much easier. |

Like i said i like to give it a try.
making stealth PP with normal bank accounts its not exciting any more :D |
| NoneOther | 07-10-2012 04:18 PM | Normal people don't know about such thing that's why they don't continually add and remove their bank account.
I don't make p/p accounts for excitement or fun, I make them to ensure I get my money with the absolute minimum of fuss and disruption. |
| GREEN LION | 07-10-2012 04:20 PM | Ok.Good for you :thumb: |
| Stigger | 07-10-2012 05:16 PM | Green lion, its well documneted the process of how and when to add and remove, if your having trouble understanding it shoot me a pm.
Normal people |
| GREEN LION | 07-11-2012 08:31 AM | Ive just opened a Halifax current account & online saver.
Halifax is giving £100.00 for free if you open an account with them and transfer 2 direct debits to them. :) + 100 INTEREST FREE over draft. |
| GREEN LION | 07-16-2012 05:06 AM | Are you guys sure Halifax online saver works?
i made an account on last Wednesday, and im still waiting for the 2 small deposit from PP.
shouldn't take that long |
| NoneOther | 07-16-2012 05:31 AM | Last one I added was about 6 weeks ago and it worked as it should. Deposits within 2 days and now accepting transfers without problems. |
| GREEN LION | 07-16-2012 05:44 AM | i will wait few days more, maybe because of weekend it takes longer for me |
| NoneOther | 07-16-2012 07:43 AM | That's a possibility,
If you initiated outside normal business hours on Wednesday it would not really start until Thursday.
2-3 business days for it to go through would take you until today, margin for p/p tardiness + 2 days, so could be any time up to Wednesday.
It will all be fine, no worries:clap: |
| GREEN LION | 07-18-2012 12:09 PM | Ok,i received the 2 deposite verified my PP and then removed the bank details.
then i tryed to open a ebay business account, did the phone verification and the next page was payment type, when i tried to choose PP they asked me for card details (i guess its because there is no bank account attached to PP)
so i went back to PP add the same bank details, and click on confirm again.
are they going to send the deposit again ? |
| Stigger | 07-18-2012 02:39 PM | thats becuase you supposed to make the eby before you verify the bnk account.
Another thing is, adding and removing a savers a few times can play havoc with the 21 day holds for a while in your faviour.
Just don't go mad, otherwise, toast. |

If you wait till you want to withdraw, just use that link to withdraw, if you do you will be asked to add a bnk account but not asked about the dd mandate. |
| northernlad | 07-18-2012 04:46 PM | Best possible account to open easily is CoOp basic account - unbelievably fast and almost handed to you on a plate... just be a bit creative income wise - good personal ID sails you through... took about 6 minutes. Once you have that account which works a charm with paypal, you can open as many more as you are able to get away with... their savings accounts have their own sort codes and account numbers. My advice is open no more than 3 accounts with the same bank..... Nat West basic account was also a breeze... they asked me hardly anything in the branch............ sweet! |
