PayPal verified, savings account possible?

I managed to get my PP account verified with a savings account before it was removed due to DD mandate failure. As it is verified though will I be able to add a savings account to make withdrawals or does it have to be a current account?

Imakemoney 11-24-2011 02:24 PM

Can be savings or current...if you add savings making sure you dont submit the dd mandate again though or it will be kicked, but you can still withdraw fine...

thanks for this info was in the same situation regarding using a savings account

i have just set up a new paypal account and am being asked to verify my bank account.

i have entered my barclays saving account details. Will paypal be able to send the 2 deposits into the savings account?

is it ok to set up the direct debit mandate with a barclays savings account ?
thanks

Imakemoney 11-30-2011 05:10 PM

Yes you can add it to send the deposits.

However it wont accept the DD mandate so will get kicked.

The only way to do it is add it, confirm the 2 deposits, remove it before it gets kicked, then re-add it without submitting the direct debit forum the 2nd time...

Thanks

Just to confirm then:

I wait for the deposits to hit my account and then confirm them with paypal
Then remove the account from my paypal account
Then wait 2/3 days and re-add the same (savings) account.

When i re-add the account will it not ask for the verification process again? and will it not force me to do the DD mandate too?

Thanks in advance for your help - appreciated

wait till you need to withdraw and add it via the withdraw button and you should not be asked about dd mandate.

Also do not need to confirm it again because your PP is verified.

so just leave unconfirmed and withdraw.

yes i was wondering this too, as i am about to confirm on a savings account too, will i need to resubmit the dd mandate?

any help?

cheers

I have now recieved the 2 deposit amounts for my savings account.

I removed the bank account from paypal on the same day so not to get the DD mandate kicked off, as recommended above.

However, i have just re-added the account again but still asks me to confirm. So i will leave unconfirmed and see if i can start selling on my paypal account.

Stigger 12-08-2011 07:46 AM

Yes that correct, no need to go through it again.

Just leave like it is.

arshavin 06-29-2012 01:20 AM

What happens if i dont remove the bank account in time and the mandate is kicked? Goodbye account? How long after the account is confirmed will the mandates be kicked?

arshavin 06-29-2012 01:23 AM

And say if i pull the remove bank account stunt can i still lift the limits on the account?

NoneOther 06-29-2012 03:01 AM

Why remove the account once the deposits land?

Leave it until it gets kicked, it could be months before it does and some never do.

People change bank accounts all the time so there is nothing suspicious when the dd fails.

arshavin 06-29-2012 06:09 AM

I think i understand now. So i confirm the account with the 2 small deposit amounts and just let it be. If its kicked i just add it again when withdrawing. :thumb:

NoneOther 06-29-2012 06:20 AM

No, you can't add it again after it has been kicked, p/p will never accept that account again.

You need to add a new one.

As and when the bank reject the DD mandate you cannot resubmit it, you need to add a new bank account.

arshavin 06-29-2012 08:16 AM

So i confirm the 2 deposit amounts and as soon as i have done that i remove the account in my paypal account and re-add it when i need to make a withdrawal?

arshavin 06-29-2012 08:17 AM

Can someone please tell me if you can lift limits on your paypal account even if your paypal bank account is not showing as confirmed because of the trick above?

NoneOther 06-29-2012 08:36 AM

How many times do you need these questions to be answered, read the thread:boink:

NoneOther already answered this: "No, you can't add it again after it has been kicked, p/p will never accept that account again.

PayPal will know that it had been unsucessfully added before once the direct debit mandate is rejected, so you will not even get the chance to add it again. Just confirm the deposits and leave it be... removing the account is futile.

All you need to lift the limits (other than the £1900 one) is to verify your account, and since savings accounts will allow you to do that (it's just withdrawing that becomes an issue), the answer is yes.

Ebayorbust 06-29-2012 09:46 AM

If you remove the savers immediately after verifying, it won't be kicked. You can then re-add it to the account and withdraw to it.

Means you're not wasting two bank accounts on one Paypal account.:thumb:

Tizwoz made this point earlier in the thread.

Elijah 06-29-2012 09:50 AM

I tried that but it still got kicked the next day. I still got the same email telling me that the DDI failed.
