Linking accounts by searching for stealth ID's
 

Quick paranoia check...

I have 5 stealth accounts all with their own windows accounts and IP addresses. I also have my main windows account which I have never used to log into Ebay with (I reinstalled windows and changed my ip address when I first went stealth). I always change my ip address in this account, log into the correct windows account, do what I need to do in eb or pp, log out of that windows account and log back into my main windows account and then change my IP address back to my usual one.

What I sometimes do in my main account is open the eb homepage and search for items listed by my stealth eb seller IDs so I can see if there are bids on them and how much they are up to, but I never log into eb to do this.

Can eb see that the same IP address is used regularly to search the same seller id's and somehow link them?

I use terapeak to check my sales on other accounts.

I make sure I am not signed in and make sure the "keep me signed in" box is not checked to when I check a seller (myself) sales.

I do not run through all the accounts but I also have a list of other sellers I have saved and always run through them just to mix it up.

I would be careful. But so far I have had no problems doing this.

Do you get emails of items sold? I always go to the emails to check the sold items.

I've never logged into eb in the windows account I use to search for items by seller ID. The only thing that eb would have would be that the same IP address searched for all of my stealth accounts regularly but seeing as I'm not logged in they don't know who I am.

No eBay doesn't link you this way. If you are absolutely paranoid, search up the IDs while you're not logged in.

This has always made me paranoid as well. I think that eb likely keeps a log of every IP address that visits every eb auction. If you're not logged in then the IP is logged as a guest. However it could be harmless for all I know. I just find it safer to check the auctions through terapeak or another service that hides you from eb.

I've emailed Terapeak, it looks like a good product but I only want to use it for one country, UK, and it looks like I have to buy the Worldwide version for that. I've emailed them to ask if there is a version just for UK like there is a version just for the US
