Has anybody had any success with setting up a VPN???
 

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, which basically means that you access a computer remotely from another computer. This is especially useful for managing a server from thousands of miles away, or something such as remote desktop assistance. You could access the VPN from anywhere in the world. You could be in United States, but your VPN in Canada, so you would be given an IP address that reflects Canada when browsing the Internet. In reality you'd be in the United States but controlling a computer in Canada, so eBay (and the rest of the web) would register the IP address as being from Canada.

Has anybody used a VPN and had success when dealing with stealth accounts? If so please share your experiences. Even if you haven't, please share your thoughts. I noticed that the eBay Stealth eBook talked about VPNs briefly but I was hoping that I could hear about some first hand experience, or any other relevant information to put into my brain. :)

I am about to set up a non-VPN account, but I am sure it will get blocked or banned eventually when eBay asks for my Social Security Number. I am from USA, and would like to eventually set up a VPN that says I'm in Canada so I can continue selling again on eBay without having to worry about supplying a SSN.

Haha GreenBean well obviously people such as yourself are familiar with what a VPN is but I wanted to explain it anyway for those who were not aware. Hopefully those who weren't aware before now are! :)

Also I searched the forum for information about VPN and couldn't find any definitive information, just loose talk. I was hoping for some more concrete answers but couldn't find much information.

What VPN service would you recommend? The one I've been looking at is OverPlay which is $9.95 a month. I have also heard that eBay keeps a list of IPs which are known to be linked to a VPN and I wanted to be sure to avoid getting linked to a VPN.
