ebay/pp pass the buck
 

We sellers always say how harsh eb/pp are.
However today proves they treat buyers the same...Thus.

On monday i purchase x..........PP then need me to get code for vcc i used before payment passed on to seller.
Today i get code phone pp etc all is good, i authorise payments to seller.

I think to myself ok log into eb (all stealth)to tell seller to carry on and dispatch(bearing in mind pp sent them email to anyway), then i find NARU.

Seller has over £450 of my money for xmas presents.
Anyhow open case with eb.
Phone pp they then pass me to eb who are useless.......
Next phone goes dead....Really pissed by this point...so i leave till morning now.

So my point is eb/pp pass buck to each other(make out they are totally seperate from each other)

Now in my eyes seller must have been banned in the time my payment was on hold.
This means this morning when i phoned pp they must have knew and should have pointed this out and i would not have authorised payment.

pp/eb dont care, they will keep money for as long as they can to grow richer and richer.

do you honestly think ebay/paypal care about anyone? the only reason people are still using it is because no one else has made a site that can compete. what goes up MUST come down! its a known fact! may be 10 years away before someone wipes the smiles off there faces. but it will happen!

anyway.. can i ask, how old is the account? if paypal were asking for the 4 digit code, were you using a brand new account? you cannot spend that much that quick on a new account! you will just get banned!

hope you get it sorted. did you use a credit card to top the vcc up?

Account couple of months old.
Used me old debit card to top up vcc.

Like many people....Never have a problem with online purchases anywhere else but sodden PP.
I know to well about pp anyway.
Problem here is the fact he was NARU when i authorised payment(unknown to me)so pp should have pointed this out.

Why dony you just file a dispute on paypals site instead of calling. If they are naru you should have no problem getting your money back.

Guess I would not have used a vcc for a purchase in the first place as I don't think u can dispute charges on a vcc

Thats my thought. I get the impression that the money being tied up for a few weeks is a problem. I understand that and it sucks

But get claims going. Now. The sooner this is started the sooner you can get money back.

Wont be fast, sorry. Once claim is set in your favor the payment will go back to VCC. That alone can be a few weeks. Hopefully the VCC can take refunds

Why would you expect that? Escpecially if you say you know too well about paypal?

It's well documented here , and other sites. two different departments of paypal have no clue what is happening with an account.

As one minion was telling you to allow a payment, another minion was killing teh account.

Horrible, terrible and bad timing but something paypal have done before AND will do again.:mad2:
