FedEX - Package available for clearance Question?

Basically have had to use FedEx for the past few weeks... had no problems. All the items in the parcels are 100% legit and above board nothing ****.

Anyway, my latest shipment has been stuck at 'Package available for clearance' for 3 days.

I called FedEx who in turn called me back and said that customs had a problem will the declared value, the supplier stupidly put down a low value on the item. They asked for me to send an invoice of what I actually paid.

So, I sent an invoice to them with the correct amount, they said it would be then passed on to customs to determine an outcome and that they couldn't see there being any problems.

They keep saying to me wait an extra day every time I call to enquire.

Any ideas on what it most likely to happen here?

Thanks guys

Is it a huge huge box or small box? I have had small packages with very low declared value with no problems, but if you have a huge box and the declared value is 25 dollares they won't believe it.

Huge box!

Looks like that's the issue.

I sent them an invoice with $900USD which is what I paid for it and the FedEx guy said that's they marked it too low.

What I'm asking is, will there be a problem now that the supplier put a low value and I've supplied them with a receipt which is $800usd more...

Thanks

not for you, you did nothing wrong. worst case, it gets sent back to buyer and you figure out how to get your money back

The worst case is they make you pay taxes/duties fee import that is all. How much? Who knows only they know when they call you back.

Great! I've just sent off another invoice with the correct amount.

Parcel value was only $900usd, so customs fees won't be much at all.

Usually my parcels are 1000usd+, but this was just a sample order
