PP Limited - Need to provide TONS of info. Anyone Ever hit with this much?

1 Attachment(s)
See attached pic. PP limited me and is asking for a ton of stuff. I resirected an ebay account with over 5000 feedback and did about $7000 in the first couple of weeks. I let the accounts sit for a little while though.

Has anyone been limited for this much stuff? What did you send that worked? (I know I don't have to do it all)

Thanks in advance

Yep, Paypal gave me one with a even bigger list before, with the following stacked on top of that:

-Provide Invoices
-Provide Supplier Info
-Resolve issues with related accounts
-See eMail for additional procedures

That have got to be the biggest "f you" from Paypal ever.

jarmiz 12-03-2011 02:47 PM

Did you get it lifted? What did you provide to do so? Was it a ghost account? Thanks

seanws30 12-03-2011 03:55 PM

$7000 in sales in one week on an account you say you resurrected and you wonder why you are raising huge red flags. good luck is all i can say.

Sell4more2 12-03-2011 04:55 PM

You just need to wait 180 days for that money no other way around!

jarmiz 12-04-2011 03:05 PM

Well I now have 80 ebay purchases and paypal won't let that account receive money. Any advice here?I have eBayers who are emailing me like crazy asking for a solution. Should I offer to invoice them from another paypal account? I could also offer a merchant account solution(although I haven't set one up). Any help here? Thanks

could have them send you money orders. merchant account would also work

Pringles 12-04-2011 08:28 PM

Question: would you get it back after 180 days or would you have to get your account closed first? I'm in a similar situation

drosenseo 12-04-2011 10:38 PM

i have had similar requests many times... just ignore it and move on. wait 180 days and get paid. with that much stuff they are requesting, i personally think that its impossible to satisfy their requests.

to answer pringles... acct is dead. you get your $ in 180 days, after that the acct is trash.

Could I remove the main email address from this paypal account and then add it to a different paypal account so I can process all of these orders easily. Most buyers don't want to send MO or use a merchant account because they will lose their buyer protection in this case. Thoughts? I have 80+ orders with buyers screaming at me trying to pay. I appreciate any advice!

FandangoKango 12-05-2011 12:34 AM

No you can't remove the email and add it to a different email because you will get linked once you get all your transactions moved. I Had this happened to me before.

1. Is this account in the us or canada?
2. They want ssn and ein/tin .

Best thing you can do is ship whatever you sold if your willing to wait 180 days and your confident you will have very few returns.

jarmiz 12-05-2011 05:33 AM

The account is US and ye they want both ssn and ein. Whats the best way to take care of these 80ish buyers at the moment?

rsot 12-05-2011 06:11 AM

Way too fast sales - What`s the best way? The best way is either SEARCH the forums for alternatives to pp OR ...you can always have them send the $ to me and I can forward you the amounts after my cash-processing % fees. There are ways of doing this.

All the best as you read around.

(@GB, yeah...)

FandangoKango 12-05-2011 07:03 PM

You did stealth wrongly. You need to spread those sales over multiple accounts to not be limited. Paypal considers you a business now and now they want you to prove you got a legit supplier and what you sell is authentic nomatter what.

Canadian accounts don't ask for EIN and SSN because we don't have them

jamblix 12-05-2011 11:27 PM

Why are you selling so much, I mean damn sorry to say it but, you brought this on yourself. It just feels like common sense not to go that far man. Jesus $7000 in a couple weeks, I won't even sell that much on a seasoned account. What did you think they would just let you slide?

Ok, if you have access to a premium eB account with over 5000 feedback, aren't you savvy enough to know by now all the restrictions eB and Paypal have put out? Anything over $2000 a month will probably pull the trigger it's so obvious...

Now that it's done, I mean I can't be of much help, you just gotta give them what they're asking for that is if you can even provide any of it. Try looking into Paymate I used them to good use when one of my Paypals went down, however they will be asking for a SSN as well. This was a while back though I have not used Paymate since so I don't know what they are like now.

Dear Buyer;

As you can tell by my exemplary feedback, I have been on eB@y for a LONG time and believe me, my buyer's satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me.

Unfortunately, PP has restrictions on sellers which limit how much they can sell in one calendar year. Since we are at the end of the calendar year, and I use PP to as a primary source for accepting payments for my direct mail business, I have hit that limit and my PP account can no longer accept payments until 2012.

To bypass this ridiculous limitation, I am sending you a direct money request from my personal account; xxx@blablabla.c0m. The title of the payment request email should be "Payment request for ITEM NAME." To complete your payment, all you need to do is log-in to your PP account and press the "PAY INVOICE" button in the middle of your screen. Because you are paying with PP, your purchase is still covered by the PP money-back guarantee.

If you no longer wish to complete the transaction, please let me know and I will gladly cancel the transaction on eB@y.

I hope this provides you with a "quick fix" so we can complete this transaction and get your item in the mail ASAP. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to write back.

Thank you!

Mr Bla bla.

I like your approach Omgoozle.

pod 12-08-2011 06:14 PM

You will need to spread out 80 requests a lot. And who knows how many will actually land... So unless you have a 10 PP accounts already primed, dont bother

Any secondary way to collect like ccnow needs to be setup far in advance too. You could get lucky with something like ccnow, but you wouldn't see that money for 60 days anyway

You can not open anything and start piling in the money and get it out.

If you can wait 180 for the money on the 80 sales call PayPal and tell them you will get all this info together the next few days, but are super busy getting orders out. Ask them please if they can in the mean time allow payments in, and leave the rest blocked until you add info. Just payments in to complete sales. I have done this before when I actually was going to add the info. I was able to make sales for a week while I added info. As long as they dont make you do anything instant you might be ok. But again, you wont see that cash until next summer

Then you can complete the sales and get the money next summer

Otherwise you need to cancel all the sales and tell the buyers there is nothing you can do. There is absolutely no way to set anything up and hammer in 80 sales

EDIT. This is a week old I'm sure its a dead matter...

jarmiz 12-09-2011 05:38 AM

Thanks for the advice, that's what I've been doing but I offered more options in an email. Like CC/MO, local pickup, etc. I went from 100 orders to about 65. pp tells me last night on the phone that my limitation should be removed early next week. The reason it turns out is the last guy that had the account's pp account was a couple hundred in the hole. so I call them, find this out, pay that and hopefully I'll be back up and running shortly. I didn't give them nearly everything they wanted but they accepted it. ill update with the final verdict.

Huh?

I dont understand. This is someones account? If this account is linked to someone that owes a couple hundred bucks paying that will not release account. They just want their money. Then they will close you right up

jarmiz 12-10-2011 08:47 AM

I paid the money and they lifted the limitation. Lifes pretty damn good right now :amen:
