Ok, I'm pretty sure this has been discussed already but couldn't find it. Who are these people that view your auctions right off the bat?

I understand newly created auctions and some buyers might catch it in a search as soon as the auction starts but, I sent out like 10 second chance offers and 3 of them had 2 views as soon as they were up. Who is viewing these they shouldn't even have access to them, are they bots maybe an eB employee keeping an eye on me?

Maybe the same person is viewing it more than once to verify the price or something??

I mean like they are viewed RIGHT AWAY as soon as they get put up, but it's not all of them there were only 3 specific second chance offers out of 10 with 2 views each.

It's not the bidder that is looking at them it can't be unless they were sitting at their computer right then and there, received my second chance offer and viewed it. That seems highly unlikely though. I wasn't sure if ANYONE is allowed to view these second chance offers except for the intended bidder and myself but, someone or something is viewing them.

Maybe it's nothing and I'm just being paranoid...it always feel like someones out to get me on eB.

I think you = 1 view actually - glitch in eb system. The 2nd view I am not sure about but it might be an eb check system in place.

When I list there is often 1 view right away.

it also depends on the time of the day... you wouldn't get any views if you list at night... so i do believe that someone does look at your listings. Cuz if i link during the working hrs i too get a few views right away. Not the case at night.

The First view is You and The Second View MUST Be an Ebay "Bot" that gives the Listing a Quick Once over checking a Few basic things Before it is Submitted for listing

A system check to look for overt flags - for sure, makes sense.

It might even be as simple as an Antivirus scan scanning your upload and it simply registers as a "View"

You and the various ebay bots that appraise the item's viabilty.

Human touch not quite arrived yet. (Mind being ebay it's highly unlikely it could ever arrive)

its ebay "bots" or "spiders", they check every listing (not in depth but they do look) this is the reason some of us have had stuff removed with in 2 mins
