hi, i have a open dispute for an item i sold. i want to refund the buyer but no refund option anywhere not even in paypal.

just. Request buyer to return the item for a full refund

Escalate the case to Customer Support

any ideas how can i refund the buyer?

thats odd! why not phone paypal. im sure they can do it from there end.

you need to do the request buyer to return item for refund option

you can agree to full refund and the tracking needs filling by buyer, you refund once it is received.

or there is option for partial refund, (and they can keep item) either one you can offer and they can accept and it moves forward without being escalated..

.it is complicated though, you cannot just refund them immediately which is silly. Sometimes something is defective and you do not want item back or they do not want to return it at their expense....

The option should be in ebay your resolution center and then click view/open/display dispute and then it gives you various options to deal with the dispute. If its not there then thats weird!

the whole point is to don't get ebay/paypal look at the account manually

there was absolutely no refund option available anywhere and as oompa mention its because the buyer didn't put a tracking number.

anyway i refunded the buyer from my paypal balance and he closed the dispute .so its ok now.
