Blummin Paypal won't release ebay refund

Ebay suspended my account and 3 days later paypal followed suit and put a 180 day limitation on my account. Fortunately I had no funds in Paypal at the time so I thought just thought 'so what?'

I got an email from Ebay telling me that they were refunding all of my sellers fees (listings etc) and they owed me £104! Woo hoo, xmas come early, wrong.

They paid it into my paypal account and they are keeping hold on it for 180 days. I argued that the payment isn't from sales and so the 180 days in case someone makes a complaint about me excuse isn't valid. The person I spoke to was nice enough and said she could see my point and would appeal for me. :pry:

I'm waiting for the rssponse but in the meanwhile has anyone else experienced this?

Overpaid? Nah, it was money I'd paid for listings that eb cancelled when they suspended me.

BTW

'We'll apply for an appeal for you' is code for 'I don't want to say no to you right now so I'll send an email to you when you have got off the phone'

I got an email telling me they are keeping my money for 180 days so I replied asking them what happens to the interest my money will be earning whilst it is in my account and I have, as yet, to receive a reply

That interest goes in their pocket and you'll be lucky to get the £104 back.

They 'might' find' reasons to reduce that paltry amount.:juggle:

It might not be a lot of money but 2 months ago that 'paltry' amount meant the difference between chosing between buying food or paying the mortgage. Things are bad out here and £104 is a lot of money to some people, including me
