21 day payment hold
 

ok so i have got a few accounts running at the mo. both set up on the same day. both had 21 day payment hold put on the first time i sold a item. just gone to withdraw some cash from one account and there is no writing at the top to say i have 21 day payment hold on all future sales. so i checked my emails and nothing is there.

dont paypal send out emails to let you know that they will no longer be holding your money? i just find it odd how the writing has gone on the paypal account. maybe they have stopped sending out the emails to tell you?

has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, me, on two accounts.

I'm nearing the end of my second month of selling on both. One has over 60 seller feedback, the other 22- both 100% & good DSRs.

The notice on both paypals disappeared in the last few days. All payments since then have not been held. Like you, no email from paypal.

mmm quite odd. i just cant understand why they have not sent emails. at least i know to just check my accounts now in the future instead of checking emails.

Your pp uk accounts must get this quicker - my Canadian pp accounts that have operated for more than 3 months still have the hold on.

it seems to be happening within 2 - 3 months in the uk. as long as sales are happening. i have another account that has only sold 1 item but i have bought 16 things on it and its still got the payment hold on it.

you will receive an email 2-3 days after that message is removed from pp.

still no email though. i honestly think they have stoped sending the email. maybe to stop scammers waiting for it. it has been 2 days now (since i noticed) and stil no email. i will write back in here later on in the month. but i honestly think they have stopped sending the emails.

paypal plays by its own set of rules.

in the us, all new accounts get the 21 day holds out on them for the first 90 days. at least that is the message i got from paypal at one point.

just ship everything with tracking and when its delivered the funds should be released 3 days after it is delivered.

My accounts are over 90 days and I still have 21 day holds on them

This will be down to either your feedback, DSRs, what you are selling or a combination of any of the three.

yeah it can a few reasons why you get 21 day holds

not just new accounts get them,well established accounts get them too

go to the help sectiion/FAQ in paypal and type 21 day holds

This is very true. The email will arrive. Saw it on one of my accounts a few days ago. The red banner message in PP disappeared, but no email from PP.

Any new funds were also still being held until the email arrived also...

well i gotta say its been nearly 3 weeks. still no email. but the 21 day hold went 3 weeks ago. withdrew £200 the other week as soon as i got the funds. like i said above i think it might of been to stop scammers over xmas waiting for the email. i might be wrong but its what i think.

21 day hold is gone? Nice.

yeah if they are gone there gone,wouldn't worry about getting an email

bet you eventually get one though
