Changing the eBay user id
 

Hi, i am buying an account of someone tonight.

How long should i wait before changing the ebay user id without raising a red flag or would it not matter? The account is 30 days old.

it's recommended to browse around and maybe buy some coupons or similar and place a few bids on some items that will bid higher ................

and NOT change anything for at least 2 weeks then you should only change one thing at a time so ebay doesn't think you hijacked the account good luck!

why do you want to change it? it really isnt necessary. the accounts i have bought are still the same as the day i got them. i have no plans to change anything.

No need to change them, just keep the same username as it doesn't really make a difference. If you do feel the urge to change it, wait a few weeks with some good browsing, buying and bidding history.

Because i will be creating a shop when i start to sell properly & want the user id the same.

I can't see e bay having a problem letting me change it tbh because i have seen people change it alot of times but i thought i'd ask for opinions off you guys as my account will be stealth.

The name i change it to won't be similar in any way whatsoever to any other account i have had in the past.

If i change it i'm only going to change it when i've bought a few things, built up feedback, had the account a while etc. I wasn't going to change it straight away. Thanks for the help guys!:)

Did you really post on this forum what your going to call your shop, REMOVE IT.

Also for marketing use the shop name not the user name.

it's just you have to think about what you do around here, Not very stealth telling everyone what your going to call your shop.
