Seller account temp. suspened [help asap]
 

For some reason when trying to get my merchant account approved my seller account got temporarily suspended because I offered paypal as a payment method with a email that was actually not registered with paypal they are asking me to give them the email for the paypal address I intended to use and they would lift my limitation (I didnt actually sell the item).

What should I do, should I make a new paypal account on a new email, and use a the false name and address registered on ebay with, and use a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ simons gift card for that account and leave the bank account entirely from situation?

I should also mention that I activley use my ppal account that was linked to me banned ebay account about a year ago, there should be no risk in linkage correct?

Yep, it seems eBay is starting to squash all the loose ends. Something that worked yesterday isn't working anymore. Just setup a new Paypal account using WaMu checking or another virtual banking service and attach it. Use the same name, and address you have on ebay. You can use a Simon card as well.

There is a risk of linking Paypal accounts... but so far I haven't see any issue with linked accounts in this way. If you understand what I mean.

Yes I know, but my eBay account closed 1 year ago, but my paypal that it was linked to is still running :)

So can anyone confirm this for me, I opened up a REAL bank account with chase 2 days ago with my real information, that I have not used on ebay/paypal yet.

Can I use this chase bank account to open up a paypal account, with my false info used on ebay? I know they cant see the name just confirming, the addresses are diffrent from ebay (⊗⊗⊗⊗ address) vs my bank account.

Also is it necessary to even add a bank account? Would a Simons Gift Card not suffice for my paypal account. After all, all I have to do is show proof that I have a paypal account open.

Any idea Apkin/Green/anyone else? Id like to get it sorted out before eBay starts making even more lame rules.

You have two (good) choices now. Either the bank account or the gift card. I would go for
the gift card as it is not as bad to lose. (Saves the hassle of making another bank a/c).

Just did that lets see where it takes me, I dont plan to use this ppal with ebay at all jsut to get passed the damn proof i have a ppal :O
