USPS Mail Forwarding / Ghost Accounts Question
 

Hypothetical question here:

Say I have a business stealth pp/eb account. I don't have access to the business address currently. The business name is different then the actual business that resides at that address. I want to register this address to use in conjunction with a DBA but if I do that, I need access to it. Here's my thought:

Can I file a USPS mail forward for that business name? The ghost name is a legitimate person that used to own a business at this location with a name similar to mine. I'd need to use a CC to confirm the identity (I'm sure a VCC would work). I could forward it to another ghost address or my real address.

I want to get a tax id number that will match business name/address on ebay)

Is my idea possible? Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't think USPS forwards those kind of letters. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

What happen if USPS forward that owner mail to you??? That is a No No, Don't do it

The USPS will forward the mail if you fill out a card and turn it in. They will only forward the mail which is addressed to the names you provided them.

But as for using a ghost name that is legitimate person that was at that address before. I would rethink that move.
