That limit needs shifting...
 

Hi all,

I have my documents ready to send into PP if they cannot verify the name and address to the electoral role... is this the same quick process as when sending them to eBay someone just checks the name and DOB that match up and done with it ?

Also how long does it take for them to usually review the documents?

Depends. Had some uploaded and limits lifted 15 minutes later (at 12.30am)

And some sent Monday morning take until Thursday. 72 hours a maximum.

WRONG, was taking 5 BUSINESS days in the run up to christmas, i had 2 accounts verified but painful waiting....

There's no right or wrong answer for this. It can take anything from 15 minutes to nearly a week. It all depends how busy they are.

Send the docs in and stop faffing.

I agree with Ebayorbust, you need to send the documents and wait as long as it takes pp to review. Yes, waiting is painful, but actually there is no other option.

What a friendly response! Actually, I had one lifted just before Christmas and it was done almost immediately.

Not been on here for a while, just thought I'd pop by to see if there are any new developments .........

me too had a couple done over chrimbo.

One was alomst immidate and the other was a few hours.

Yes, keep checking too, I was waiting and I didnt realise that they were waiting for me to resubmit another utility bill, they didnt like the first one I uploaded as it showed my name as an initial then surname, when you supply your docs remember to create your utility bill so that it displays your name in full as it appears on your stealth paypal account. Once I supplied them with this new utility bill it only took another day and then they removed my £1900 annual limit! Whoopee!!

Sent mine this morning :) praying... theyll prob ask me for newer statement though

Hi all,

I uploaded the necessary documents to have my limits removed however this is the second time they have come back invalid and I dont know why..

Other accounts are fine...

Do you have to have the photo showing or are you able to black it out as I know there is something where PAYPAL say that sensitive data can be screened out e.g. signature?

Not sure whether to upload again or what.

If it comes back, they usually indicate what might be wrong.

Maybe you have blacked out so much information that they are getting suspicious?

Is the full doc visible? ie corners not chopped off etc. I had to resend a DL once as I had cropped the jpeg slightly too much and trimmed one corner - resent with no issue.

You could keep sending the doc again and again. You may get lucky but it's not advisable.

Why not email them and ask what the problem actually is?

its only a driving license,if it was your credit card statement i could understand

my case I send the documents once it uploaded I just call them, if everything is OK, they lift the limitation

ebayorbust - Well the only reason i blanked out the PHOTO and signature was because I thought I read you can do that or PP tell you to do that?

I have emailed them but got no response might even call (know how to keep calm under false pretences)

Corners are not chopped off or anything I scanned in then uploaded.. or is it best to fax them in ?

Fax is preferable.

Used be you could blackout part of the numbers. Never the photo 'cos they want to see 'you' are 'you :D

I've had 4 PP accounts with the £1900 receiving limit lifted this week.

I personally don't black out/hide/cover up anything on the DL/Passport or Utility Bill/Bank Statement that I send them.

No need for it. Makes them more suspicious. When 1 push of a button and they can close your account....there isn't any need to make them any more suspicious than they may already be!

just send them everything uncovered, that what i did, you have to consider what 99% of the 'normal users' would do if they were submitting docs,

I have been waiting nine days now, account is limited as I have reached my limit of 1900, hope they bloodu hurry up as I am still sending out goods and do not need the dreaded parting of ways B/S.

Think I will stick it till the weekend, email them again. They surely cant take that long to review an account?
