What is your suggestion on this crazy buyer?

I had a buyer buy 5 items with free shipping. They paid for each item individually.

After that they told me to put them all in one package and send them back some money on the shipping through pay pal.

I told them my ad states if you buy more than one item and want combined shipping don't pay until I send a combined invoice and since they paid separately for all 5 items I would ship them all separately and the items were free shipping anyway so it would not matter since there would be no refund to them .

Today they email me and say they want to cancel all the auctions, because it made them mad that i would not pack together and send them some money back on the shipping.

They said if I cancel the auctions they will give me all positives, if not, they will leave all negatives because they were mad at me for not refunding a portion of the shipping.

They also said if I send it they will mark return to sender.

I dont get buyers like this much and wonder how you all handle demanding buyers like this.

I'd have refunded the buyer, and sent a revised invoice.

The buyers i've done this to have been fine about it, glad to save money. But some are total morons, like yours sounds.

End of day, shipping is free...so what is there to refund? Sounds a little like feedback manipulation to me, i'd be inclined to report his message (Only if your confident your account can handle a manual review of course)

She is telling me that since I can ship item together the savings should go to her.

Unfortunatly we now live in a World were Money is EVERYTHING and where MANY buyers get upset because Someone makes a profit on something that they sell them,,Soooo Many people feel that NO ONE should make any money from them,,,

As for you Sandy I believe that if you CANCEL all the auctions I am Fairly sure,,, although not 100% positive,,, that they will not be able to leave you negative feedback,,,Maybe someone else can confirm this,,

I believe they can still leave you negative or positive feedback....I've had one or two cancellation's which either I or the seller initiated for one reason or another & the feedback option was still available.

You will also notice eBay feedback on cancelled eBay transactions if you looked around on eBay.:ballchain:

CS sympathetic agent can have negs removed for you, if the terms are clearly stated in auction and they neg you citing only thse reasons for bad service.

If they paid, regardless of cancellation or refund, they can neg you, if she did not pay, do not think she can neg you then.

My worst case was a buyer listing some algebraic formula for how much it cost for an envelope plus postage, and so the pennies remaining should be refunded back to him - I said it was an estimation, not excessive and there is a persons time component in post and packing......

Pennies remaining refund...geez - I know those stories though.
