Bank account is closed

My bank account (achievecard) was closed for unknown reasons, they said, activity on the account was suspicious and all the funds will go to the source they came from. All my money were from Amazon.com .What will happen?
I am really freaked out. I am selling laptops and there was like 5000 on the account. My Amazon account is in good standing. Should I be worried that Amazon won't accept the money back? I don't know what to think.
Did anyone had this kind of problem???

Did you call the bank? Is it your real info on the bank account?

stugots 01-04-2012 04:07 PM

how long of a time frame was this money from?

FandangoKango 01-04-2012 04:19 PM

The problem with achievecard is that its a prepaid card and you were using a stealth name probably right? They probably wondered why the first name is different from the source incoming funds is coming from so they don't want to take any chances and just closed you out like that. It happened to me on the mango prepaid moneycard.

About amazon? I don't have any experience with them. Hope somebody chips in here about your amazon problem.

I thought somebody said that when amazon sends the deposit it doesn't include a name like paypal does?

rsot 01-04-2012 05:02 PM

Is your AZ account still open? Likely the money will be returned and hopefully you will just add a new bank account.

@oge, I am sure WHENEVER money is sent from whatever service, the name of the receiver is included - financial policy these days.

Replied on your other post.

Has there been any cases before where a bank actually takes the persons money? This kind of freaked me out and makes me want to withdraw my money from my banks. But then again..... i don;t want to keep all of my money in my house.

aspkin 01-04-2012 05:09 PM

Prepaid cards are much more strict with stuff like this.. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in Amazon Ghost. You'll want to use your real name with your Amazon accounts if you're using prepaid bank accounts. That or a nickname of sorts..

EBAYBOMB 01-04-2012 06:18 PM

Name on my bank account and amazon account match and last transfer
I made was a week ago...Bank account was concerned because I made couple transfers and my balance was pretty high , they considered this as a suspicious activity.

FandangoKango 01-04-2012 07:29 PM

Maybe your best bet is to withdraw to your prepaid bank account and spend the money on the card instead of doing weird transfers or withdraw from atm.

oge 01-04-2012 07:29 PM

wow this is a bomb.....

GrannyT 01-04-2012 07:31 PM

With Pre-paid cards the only way is to withdraw through an ATM every day.

Transfers upset them - I know this from experience

EBAYBOMB 01-04-2012 07:49 PM

Yes, this is true pre-paid cards companies survive charging 3.00 per transaction and alowing to withdraw $300.00 every 24 hours. I think they didn't like my free transfers...
