question about opening emails

1 thread says to watch opening emails from ebay they can track you off user name on to another is this right? the next thread says its fine to open emails from ebay just dont use the links then i found one that said they cant track you through email meaning stealth 1 can open email under stealth 2 user acount email not ebay please makes this clear

you can check emails for account 1 from the user connected to that account.
Many experienced members said not to open links from inside the email and better do it from the eb account.
Hope that clarify the matter for you.

Let's say you open an email from a stealth eBay on your main PC. If that email contains and displays ANY IMAGES WHATSOEVER (and it can be ONE image the size of ONE PIXEL) then eBay will know the IP of your main PC. If that IP is associated with another banned account, you are LINKED.

Of course, clicking any links will accomplish the same thing.

If you want to be successful with stealth, DO NOT TAKE CHANCES AND CUT CORNERS! Open your stealth emails on the PC/USER you have created for that specific account. Yes, it is a pain in the asterisk, but at least you stay safe.

Some email programs and GMAIL can be set to NOT display the images by default. Those can help you to stay safer, but should not be used to answer emails for different accounts from one PC. Reading an email from a stealth account on any PC, other than the one created for it, is a bad idea. ANSWERING an email that way is a GUARANTEED DISASTER!

I hope I have explained this so it is understandable. Someone else might help and take a shot at it...

Yes you can be linked in email as they have "beacons"...
I have seen email where at the bottom it would say sent from IP xxxxxxxxxx...

if you're using your smart phone mail app be sure to disable externally hosted images in the Settings on your app

I never open a link within an email

Never have and never will.

Too risky.

Dont you click the link to confirm your eB registration?

I've done it a couple times and nothing has happened. I try to avoid it tho. Remember, if there is any CHANCE and i mean the slightest bit of being linked in some way, or if you have to think about it, you probably shouldn't do it.
