favorite new buyer claim

"my mom works for ebay and this was my brothers birthday present and she is very upset."

some buyers will say anything

Sandy D 01-11-2012 08:53 AM

My latest one was:

My 12 years old purchased this and his Dad is going to take away his computer time if he finds out he bid on this. Please cancel this as you know 12 year old are not allow to purchase items.

When I sent this.

I am sorry but the item was bid on and you are still responsible for either paying for the item or canceling your bid.

I got this.

You cannot force a 12 year old to pay for this auction when he did not know any better.

When I sent a cancel notice I got this.

It is not my responsibility to cancel this bid, it is yours knowing a 12 year old purchased it.

Sell4more2 01-11-2012 10:24 AM

Haha!!! I got ones where their 5 year old was playing on eBay and bought the items!

rsot 01-11-2012 10:37 AM

I remem getting one back in the day from some guy who had purchased a collectible that said "Sorry but I cannot pay for this - my hemorrhoids have acted up and I need the money for my treatment".

Terrible.

yotano211 01-11-2012 10:59 AM

I have never gotten anything funny like these but I once used this. "sorry but I cant pay for the item, I need the money for a penis enlargement treatment".

The seller quickly sent me a cancellation notice and a quick haha note.

I've gotten a couple of these. I don't get why they just don't say i changed my mind or i can't pay for the item or something along those lines.

The best one by far that i've gotten was from a seller. I left him netural feedback since it took him 2 weeks to ship the item. And his response was he will sue me if i don't change it within 24 hours b/c what i said in the comment was against the law. To this day i wonder what he would of said if i left negative :pound:

I have had them in the past say this along with a negative and the wording is defamation of their character.

I love responding to these types of messages. The person who sold me this item actually kept the argument going for a pretty long time. Until i shut him up with telling him to sue me and in return i will report him to eb*y for selling f*ke stuff. Shut him up REAL quick. Never heard from him again.

Have one cretin now, who bought a hard disk for his console and the hdd damaged his console. Then says he can't remove hdd from console anymore, since it melted/burned :)

Wants refund before returning hdd, since he can't get it out, lol.

Either fraudster or total moron, hoping the latter :D

satori8311 01-14-2012 03:06 AM

"Bain Capitol Stripped Away My Pension Fund, Sorry I can not pay"

FandangoKango 01-14-2012 05:20 AM

" I work for the cia and can't find you in my database " lol

hahaha i had something similar like this but with an xbox 360. Sold it to this buyer then he contacted me saying he wants a full refund b/c the xbox has the rings of death. I knew there was no way the xbox was broken, i tested it right before i shipped it. So i contacted the buyer telling him to return it for a full refund but he better not send me a broken xbox because i had my xbox specially marked inside to tell if it is mine just in case a scam buyer wants to trade a broken one for a good one. Never heard from him again.

sasha 01-14-2012 08:25 PM

I had one where the buyer thought he had won the auction and complained the next day that he had not received his item.

I just laughed

I think the most common one is about my daughter or son bided on the item by mistake.

Sandy D 01-16-2012 12:52 AM

LOMAO

I had someone use BIN on 5 different items just today.

I sent an invoice and they send me a message asking me why I sent them an invoice.

I said I saved you a ton of money by combining your purchases and was putting them together for some shipping savings.

She wrote back and said but I never bought anything, why are you asking for money? I will report you to ebay as you are trying to commit fraud by asking for money for some reason.

I sent her a screen shot of her user name and winning bids and she still said that she did not click the buy it now and does not want the items because she did not bid on them.

The end result-- Lady must think we are stupid. I looked her purchases up and she just bought the exact same product from someone else for 0.01 cheaper an item.

Cheap azz buyers anyway.

BiN4RY 01-16-2012 01:00 AM

Oh wow, would love to see how she would react when you slap a unpaid case on her

rsot 01-16-2012 11:18 AM

5 unpaid cases...

Sandy D 01-17-2012 12:12 AM

Sounds like a plan.

TLSunny 01-17-2012 06:18 AM

What happens when a buyer gets an unpaid case slapped on them? From what I can tell buyers can get away with pretty much anything while we sellers get punished for just about everything

rsot 01-17-2012 10:16 AM

Not to derail the thread (by TLSunny) but 3 unpaid strikes are you get the boot.
