| imjustme | 01-19-2012 03:05 PM | Seriously ...selling limits on a 2000+ all positive feedback account? eBay is getting more ridiculous every day. I have an account that sells legit items since 3+ years, with over 2000 all positive feedback, not even a neutral or a negative.
2 days ago I got the following message: Quote:
You can now sell up to 10 items monthly or up to $500.00 monthly. (Keep in mind that this includes multiple quantity listings which can greatly
influence this number.)
Because you are doing well at selling at these volumes, you should not
hit your selling limit unless you dramatically increase your sales.
| Not hit my limit? Seriously? I've been selling about 200 items per month since early 2011. Now it's limited to 10 items a month or $500?
What the ... |
Very odd - what a dumb message. |

What the ... | That is wild...what are your DSR, how many Buyer Protection cases have you had opened, and have you had any MC infractions? |
feel sory for you man! wtf, dw chin up! get one of ur back up accoutns up, still i understand what your on about, its a joke! |
elitepowersales | 01-19-2012 05:36 PM | Yes Ebay/Paypal have gone over board in fraud prevention, holds, identity check, limits etc. They seriously want to get rid of the little guys that made them and just be the Volume seller Chinese direct website. They don't realize that chasing away the small private seller also means losing buyers as well. |
LoopHole | 01-20-2012 03:22 AM | Never thought i would ever read something like this. |
imjustme | 01-20-2012 04:57 AM | -The account has no disputes open. It had one dispute in May 2011 which the customer closed after it was resolved to his satisfaction. That was the last and only dispute ever on the account.
-The account has no low DSRs, they're all 4.7 and above. Item as described is even 4.9.
-The account has no negative and not even a neutral feedback - ever.
And the best part, I don't even sell brand name items. They're handmade items. The only thing I can imagine that triggered it is that the account usually sells around 200 items per month, while I've sold about 15-20 items per day for 3 days before being limited. If it had kept going at that rate, it would have sold like 600 items this month, instead of the usual 200.
I could have understood if they limited me to 200 items, but 10? Ridiculous. Luckily I'll be eBay-free very soon. |
GreenBean | 01-20-2012 05:13 AM | You are now the 9th seller I have come across with such restrictions.
Similar common grounds too. :suspicious: |
imjustme | 01-20-2012 07:41 AM | Maybe I'm too good of a seller, that's about the only reason I can find. |
directreputation | 01-20-2012 08:49 AM | That's weird, even the 10 - $500/ month, I have never seen that before. |

I take it your account is stealth. Have you faxed in verification documents? Does PayPal have SSN or EIN? Have you exceeded $20k yearly limit?
Maybe they want you to incorporate? |
LoopHole | 01-20-2012 05:09 PM | ^^^^ Good questions. Definitely would give us a clearer idea. |
@imjustme how are you gonna be ebay free soon? good luck |

Maybe they want you to incorporate? | I'm not in the US, so this all doesn't apply to me. PayPal is verified and in good standing, never had a limitation or anything. Quote:
