New account same name?

I had used a name of a friend for an ebay account that I made some years ago with his permission. He was talking to me today about starting an ebay account, and I quickly remembered that I had made an account in his name. I had gotten it banned. If a new account is made with the same name, could ebay pinpoint and ban him or would they just request more information to prove he is actually who he is?

I've always made accounts using my real name and I've not had any issues to date.

as long as the address and ip is different then it is okay. thousands of people have the same name.

Friends and business do not mix.


Despite the other responses saying this is fine, I do not think it is.

What did you do to get that account in his name banned? You have not told your friend the full story or have you 'quickly remembered' LOL

ebay will NOT accept paperwork from him AFTER that name got smeared on their records. I seriously doubt they will believe anything
