Not a Rookie but still gettin suspended!
 

Hello Everybody,

Let me first start out by saying how happy I am to have found this site, I have been on eBay for about 7 years selling various products from make-up to motorcycles. I recently found a legitimate supplier for designer sunglasses and although the profit margins arent super high they are good enough for me to supplement my income.

I had two accounts that were doing fantastic one was at 162 feedback the other at 89 both had over 60 sales each for designer sunglasses all positive feedback. Well about a week ago they shut my largest account down for suspicious activity, because nothing changed and both accounts were up for over a year. In retaliation I inturn opened 4 new bank accounts and changed the account numbers on my existing accounts. Bringin my total to 6 ebay/paypal accounts, I began building feedback on them and all was well, I was able to list a few pairs on about 3 of them that I could get the limits lifted on via the questionaires which if you dont answer correctly online your limits will stay in place.

The other two accounts had new seller limits as normal. Well today while getting ready to list some glasses on one of my new accounts I was suddenly suspended and they got all my new accounts plus the one older one I had. Now Im pretty sure they linked my IP address as I had not been changing it everytime I logged in. As I said I am not a rookie and I am know I have a lot to learn but I could use some help setting up the correct structure. I would like to have about 6 accounts selling 3-5 pairs of sunglasses a month, nothing outrageous, I have purchased the book but have had some issue getting the viewer to install so I am waiting for a response from support to get that going so I can read the book.

I would ask if anyone has any general tips for me so I can keep my business stable for a change and make some decent money without giving away half of my life first! Thanks in advance and look forward to working with you guys! :p

were you logging into all the ebay accounts from the same user account on your pc? and not changing ip? if so you have your answer as to how you were linked in the future make a seperate user account on your computer for each ebay account this will keep your cookies from each account seperate and you need either a cell phone tether or change the ip on your router to get a different ip if you have no cell phone tether option or dial up

If you dont change your IP address,it is a domino effect.

If you stealth and has more than 1 account,you have to be stealth all the way,no half yes half no.

that depends on the age of account and whether there was activity on it or not & of course you plan to go forward

I would have to say that u are a rookie if u never changed ip or win user name or even cleared cookies. This is one of the first steps in useing ebay after u was suppended.

First thing is even a rookie does not make this kind of mistake not to know that you have to change your IP.

You need to buy the stealth book and spend a ton of time reading before you do anything else.

As DBK stated, changing IP is a basic thing.

there are alot of steps to consider when going stealth. Read through the forum and search on google on how to do certain things.

1) Every ebay or paypal account must be on a unique ip
2) Each ebay or paypal account must be on different information

designer sunglasses are a difficult niche. Can be an item that ebay/paypal dislikes based on alleged authenticity.

Only rookies do daft things like that. Info changes your side but the old info is still know to both ebay/paypal

Seriously, you may have sold on ebay for some time but there are specific methods to operate more than one account. As a rookie you completely underestimated ebay/paypal & how they match up info PLUS how they restrict/suspend accounts without reasonable explanation.

Unless you can regroup, apply stealth tactics, change the attitude a tad ;) you might well repeat your troubles.

I suggest reading ebay stealth ( & to that end I've added an email for you) to see & decide a plan BEFORE you consider purchasing accounts.

I have access to all the designer sun glasses, purses and Jordon shoes right down the road from me but I wont touch them.

Selling name brand items can red flag you and cause you issues.

In most cases not worth all the work I put into building an account to risk it selling these types of items.

Some here have done well and have mastered how to sell these items without even getting looked at but most of them are experts at what they do.
