Question What is This,please?

At local library earlier. Never used this particular terminal before ever. Signed on
for my session start. Successful. The system running is IE. OK, did a google
for ebay australia. Page came up fine but WITH a Naru'd account name.

Have I had a brain storm? Went to another place used another computer, also
running IE. Did the same but this time ebay page came up with no user showing.
Any answer about the first event? Could not sign out of account so closed page.

I keep a note of EVERY station I use at the library. Never ever used that Naru'd
account there. I look at all ebay sites without signing in.

What is this? Having a panic attack.

Default Hi Green...

no idea. Was it one of your accounts that showed up?

If not, it could be that EBAY screwed around with that library's IP Address so people could not use it anymore.

I think eBay had some problems, a while back, with people getting signed into other user's accounts because of a mistake in eBay's software. I think their system is actually fairly buggy.

HI: a couple times, when i went to ebay at the library--an ebay acct was live there--its because some libraries make the clearing of cookies an Admin action, thus it only clears at end of day

ebayhateluv, I found that out late yesterday. OMG, what a trap. Kinda made me feel that nothing is sacred. Made friends with one of the computer staff
Already proven useful.

Question And Now

Part (2) to these problems. OK, changed ISP whenever. IPs are dynamic. Log proves that.
ISP says it supports IE. I am used to firefox. Installed update of firefox. Nearly complete
mayhem.
What are my options, please? I am not keen to use this laptop at the moment.

What does "complete mayhem" mean? Browsers are typically pretty transparent, ie, they don't affect internet performance or accessibility by much. If you have a 3rd party firewall installed like Comodo, ensure Firefox is allowed permission to access the network.

ovidiu, nothing has worked in the same way as it did when I had the other ISP. Should I check the firewall etc? I have never had a problem like this. thanks

You need to be more specific.....PM me if you do not want to post that info on the forum. I have run into plenty of problems with networking (and even some with Firefox), but they have all been solved at some time or another.
