Running 3 Accounts off one computer
 

Ive just opened my first Stealth account and im taking it very slowly as advised im hoping to open another two but i was wondering if....

Is the general rule to run all your various accounts off one computer/laptop with seperate users ect or do people use seperate computers for each account?

Also would it be best to have 3 seperate phones for verification or just use the sim cards then throw it away when verified.

Separate user accounts but you have to be very disciplined and not make any mistakes at login especially with IP/Router setup.

One phone is fine it set you use a VOIP service and have calls redirected to you chosen number which can be either a landline or mobile.

If you use sim card switching how are you going to know when they call a particular number if it not in the phone and don't forget that they can call you any time not just at verification and if your number is then dead so are your accounts. Think about it! You are supposed to be a real person and they don't have their phones cut off on a regular basis.

Thats a fair point NoneOther im going to buy 3 cheap phones and colour code them to each user account and pin all the info for each account on my display board so if i recieve a unexpected phone call i can match the coloured phone to the info on the wall and blag them to death

No problem but three cheap phones are still an added expense. VOIP is cheaper and simpler to operate and you only need one phone for incoming calls, doesn't matter if it's a landline or mobile either will work just as well.

I prefer to use a mobile as you never know when you might get a call and if you don't answer it could result in a limitation. More to think about, be smart.

much easier to have 15-20 user accounts on 1 computer, than it is to convince your wife that the one room in your house with 15-20 computers is needed to run your ebay empire.

Same here - many off of the same computer with different user accounts.

LOL - My OH used to go barmy because I had 3 pooters in the farm office and was forever changing the IP

Now I have one laptop that I take with me where ever I am in the house - even when I'm cooking I answer emails - trouble is if I want to change IP I have to go out to the farm office every time - thank heavens for Thunderbird

Yeah I have about 20 windows user accounts on my ebay laptop! haha works a treat though keeps those cookies seperate.

You've just got to be careful that you dont log into the wrong account on the wrong user - I put my user name ID & Password on the desktop so its in my face as soon as i log in to avoid mistakes :typing:

I use a check list and notes all over the board to keep me from making mistakes, guess everyone has his methods :peace:

So far I just 1 user account but clean all the cookie, etc. I haven't had any problems so far but one never knows.

If you use one e/b & one p/p per windows user account don't clear the cookies, there is no need. They expect to see cookies win you log in and if there are none every single time you do log in they are going to get suspicious and you know what happens when they get suspicious and start to look more closely at what your doing.

STAYING UNDER THE RADAR is not achieved by deleting cookies.

Be like a normal person and let them track you, it's in your best interests and its safe to do as long as you use separate windows user accounts. Be smart :nono:

We moving to a farm in a couple of months we are just renovating it. The Address variations will be endless lol.

I think i will be going down the user route and just colour code each account ect.

Im like a little kid at the moment with excitement wondering at the prospects of having 3 fully verified EB Accounts. (Sad i know)

Then start another 3 and keep them ticking over in reserve, you never know when you might need one and a matured one is better than a newbie

be carefull of your ip address use a dongle or somethink not your home b/band isp

I will be using a dongle but im not hopeful of a amazing signal.

Does anyone know if there is a way of boosting your signal in rural areas.

You can buy signal boosters. Little stickers that stick to the dongle or phone. The do work ok but for sure the dongle speed will be slower than BT Broadband etc.

It's the price you pay for Stealth.

I don't mind waiting an extra ten seconds for a random page to load - as long as it means I can pay the bills...................

i bought a 3 dongle the other day. it works great. i used to tether but the dongle is so much faster

Im on a 3 dongle at the moment and it works perfect but were we are moving it says on the net i will only get 2 bars so im going to have to some serious tweeking to boost the signal.

But like you said a small price to pay.
