New account tonight - Sending letter to address on file?

I made a new account tonight and have listed 8/10 items on it using the ebay listing pages. It prompted me to click a link to raise my limits, and that went through to a page asking me to confirm my info. It then said it was sending a code to my address to raise my limits.

Is this odd? I've never seen it before.

Nor have I!

I certainly hope not though!

Perhaps this is an obstacle because you didn't attach a verified PayPal?

If you added a verified PayPal your limits would have been 100 items or £3,500.

Add the verified PayPal and f#ck the letter :bounce:

ummmm first SLOW DOWN

you opened a new account and within 24 hours listed 8 of 10 items? are you nuts?

i wouldnt worry about the docs cause this account has a 80% chance of going down

you need to take it slow and act like a NEW seller. new sellers dont list their max the first day, then ask for their limits to be raised immediately.

go back and read the book again.

I got limits raised to 600 a month on an account I've never sold anything on yesterday, so not strictly true.

A newbie clearing out their house and having a spring clean could legitimately list 8 items in an evening. Especially if they painstakingly went through the ebay form every time. I don't see the big deal in that.

I might try adding a bank account - I think I'm just going to see what happens this week. I don't have a huge amount of bank accounts to play with so I want to make sure its a keeper account before I waste one on it.
