PO box to buy on ebay?
 

Well I've been suspended before and that means my current address is out the window. I've gone stealth but I've been using my sisters address for one of my accs or some other address not of my own.

But I do wanna buy some stuff on ebay now. I haven't bought anything using those addresses and I don't want stuff coming to my relatives address. So..can Imake a new ebay acc to just buy stuff and use a PO box? However, I can't sign up for a PO box with a stealth name and all the stuff coming to that PO box will be under my stealth name. Will the Post office ppl let the mail still come in? Anyone try this?

Usually, EB/PP will leave your buyer privileges alone meaning you can still buy on an EB A/C but limit the seller capability on the account. I'm wondering if this is valid for you & whether you were aware that this is possible ???:noidea:

I read somewhere on the board that for US EB/PP A/C, that a PO BOX can be used in this manner but it being under stealth ID ....that is a slightly different slant.I'd search the forum for the answer to be honest with you.=}-

Just set up a buyers account moving your name around just a bit, or off by a letter. Same with addy. They dont care with buyer accounts, but Paypal might give you issues if you have been limited and want to make a new paypal to that new ebay.

PO can be used in most cases.

In my state they wont allow any non matching names to get mail so I have to tweak the name a bit to get it to work.

Michael James Doe to M. James Doe or similar.

Look into using a business name as well instead of your reg name.

Ex: James Buy and Sell
M James Doe as a name etc.

Or get a UPS Box, acts just like a reg addy

No, this will never happen. Please do a search in the forum. USPS requires ID for each name that receives mail.

Take bansheezone's advice. Some UPS stores will accept business names and don't check the information.

Go with UPS, it looks like a regular address. You still need id to get it but can have any name you want sent to it. Also its not "federal" use your head...:doh:

For the UPS address. I jsut go to a UPS store and that store address is the address I would use to buy things with?

Also what do I need to sign up for a UPS mailbox? Just money and can I use my name? Or will I have to get a DBA name? =X

ID for person(s) name(s) and then whatever business name you feel like using.

I would check into the new USPS deal on PO boxes. THey are advertising it like crazy now.

They say you can get mail from ANY carrier and use their address for a street address when you need it.

CHeck it out. I use it now and like it so far.

If you have to have something signed for they will sign it for you and you can pick it up at your leisure too.

They do care now. Buyers accounts are getting suspended much more often.

Yeah I really want to start buying on ebay as well but dont want to use my stealth account, so in other words you guys are saying open ebay and paypal with real name moved around a bit or open with business name? Do I just make up this business name for the ebay paypal or do I need to obtain a DBA? And after that get a P O box or UPS box and use that addy? And Im good to go.
