New Legit Account, Same Network Link?
 

If I am sitting on the couch with my laptop logged into eBay and someone else is sitting on the couch with their laptop and just signed up for their first eBay account, am I at risk of being linked to their account?

It was my cousin so everything in his account accept last name and state of residence is different from mine. We were using the same router to access the internet is why I am kind of sketched out now.

I doubt he will ever sell anything on eBay though. However, I have purchased something for him in the past and had the item ship directly to him (sort of like drop shipping).

Don't think you will have anything to worry about as long as your cousin does not start selling on his account.

So IP was same but different computers? Hmm - while initial registration is not likely to be a problem, I would tell him to beat it and do activity on a sep IP to be safer.

Well, we were using the same internet service through the same router at the time. But I just happened to be at his house while he was signing up for eBay.

I will be extra cautious if I am at his house again with my laptop and in need of logging into eBay...I will probably just go through my smartphone.
