eBay Seller Accounting/Bookkeeping - Outright? Quickbooks?

So...I have been looking into different ways to keep track of my eBay sales so I am best equipped with accurate financial reports for annual and quarterly taxes.

I have tried the Outright free version today. It imported everything from eBay and PayPal automatically. Besides cleaning up the income/expenses, it seems all I have to do is input/import my cost of goods sold.

I have not tried Quickbooks yet as the reviews for Outright are a lot better.

PLEASE...can anyone provide experience on a good method or software of keeping track of eBay sales, income, expenses..etc?

the thing is with importing sales directly from ebay into said software is the issue of linking. i havent used quickbooks in years so im not really sure if this would work with multiple user accounts and importing from multiple stealths without getting linked. maybe someone else will chime in on that

Well if you were using multiple user accounts, I imagine you would need to open multiple Outright and Quickbooks accounts too...not sure on this though as I have not gone stealth yet.

I actually use a particular credit card for my business expenses. I added this to Outright and they magically imported all my expenses. All I had to do was categorize what sort of expense it was (IE. COGS, Advertising, Utilities, Personal Expense...etc).

I have not come to a final decision as to use Outright as of yet...so if anyone has input on how they handle their books it would be much appreciated.

this is from outrights blog:

"Another common request has been the ability to change the name of an imported account to something more friendly. This is especially important for our users with multiple eBay or PayPal accounts, or for people whose credit cards have long or non-intuitive names."

so it seems at first glance outright may work with multiple ebays. but who knows what they share.

1. Be sure you're logged in: https://secure.outright.com/login
2. Either click on or cut and paste the following URL: https://secure.outright.com/company_...lude_beta=true
3. Double check the URL ends with include_beta=true ; you will see your "Accounts" page ; click the "Add an Account" button
4. Type eBay in the search box, and "Search"
5. You should see three different options for eBay. Choose the eBayV2 option -- be very sure that you're selecting V2!
6. Enter your username and password; then click the Sign in button
