Wink Shipping from usa to canada?

I was told at post office you need some kind of special tape for shipping to canada? Is this true or no? I use clear packaging tape I bought at store, but I guess this is not enough for some post office centers!

Uhhhh was he asking you to put Priority tape on your International Priority Parcel?

Did you ship Priority or some other way?
Did you use USPS packaging?

Never heard of any special tape - you need to fill some custom paperwork.

What are you shipping to Canada?

Im shipping with a yellow normal package envelope and using clear packaging tape and I filled the customs form. I use first class mail not priority. First class registered mail, but the person could not send it registered because of the tape. Somebody explain where I can get tape for shipping to canada?

Just do the label and customs forms online and drop it in the blue boxes. We ship pkgs 1st class international every day and ALWAYS use just yellow padded mailers with clear tape. Just dump it in the blue box and go on your way.

If you fill it out online its just one half page sticky label or paper. Simple stuff if you are on ebay. a couple clicks and you are done. ALL is filled out so no typing addresses or anything in.

Go to Canada Post website and enter your USPS tracking number in the "Track mail" option - after few days out of US, the package will show up.

I just put the number on top of the customs form and it shows when it left. I didn't know that! Howcome I have to pay registered mail to know when it arrived at its destination then which is like 10-12 dollars more apart from the shipping?

Rsot is selling that special tape.

He is making a killing doing so.

Rsot is a marketing genius getting us in the USA to believe we need special tape when we do not.

Darn you Rsot.

They charge you that for the guaranteed delivery with signature probably
.

Priority and 1st class is just the customs number on the label. They dont say its delivery confirmation but it is the same thing. Just sometimes they miss it.

I have several that get delivered, customers happy and nothing ever shows up online for tracking. Then others show every step.

Just another reason the USPS sucks compared to UPS. Just wish the pricing structure was close on each.

I can't ship with ups to canada its too expensive and compared to usps - usps is king in prices. I didn't know about that customs form was the tracking number for canada. Is this the case for outside the usa also or no?

See why we recommended NOT to ship internationally?

You have to use your brain

Find the info out yourself.

It's the adult way

I learned the hard way by shipping internationally.

Sure you get exposed to large amount of buyers and have more sales but you also get exposed to more scammers and thieves.

I wont ship internationally again.

NO way am I giving you my brain.

Here's what you do.

Dont sell internationally.

It's obviously beyond your IQ capacity to do so.

A simple, true fact of life. Not said with malice.
