Asked buyer to return item, how long do they have to enter tracking??

Ok so I required that a buyer return my item in an Ebay Dispute. How long do they have to enter tracking before the case closes? Or how do I expedite this? I don't want to wait around 30 days for them to enter tracking. Is there a limit on this and they will close the case if they don't enter it? I heard it was within 7 days otherwise the case automatically closes, Anyone know?

Ten days iirc.

The time to enter does not always matter it can be extended at times even tho it states it will be ruled in your favor. I would kindly email the customer and ask them to update tracking information so you can be prepared to make a prompt refund for them. If this doesnt get a response and its just a normal and not valuable product then I personally would leave it alone and let it play course.

Im sure the funds have been put on hold already so just plan on a refund. I would not plan on that date being your answer to not giving a refund. Just my thoughts

I think you can call ebay for them to contact the buyer or get the buyer's contact details and call them or text them at the number they have. I hate to talk with buyers through phone so I just hope the registered number is a cell and I text them.

Well Id prefer to just keep the money and have them keep the product. Hence why I am hoping they dont ship it back. This was a garbage claim because I got removed from eBay.

Buyer seem to know they can take as long as they want.

I had one on my real account ship an item back 4 weeks after they received it.

My listings are clear if you are going to return any item it has to be mailed within 5 days back to me.

She said she did not see that in the listing and did not open it until the night before her hubbys birthday so my return policy starts when she opened it.

Amazing how these buyers think.

I opted to have them ship it back, but how long do they have to enter tracking before it automatically closes?

never knew they HAD to enter tracking. i just assume if they file the case they will win anyway so i just click refund right away so i dont get dinged by ebay. the cost of the items i sell are so low i dont mind losing $20 one in awhile. better than losing the account

Has anyone ever required a buyer to return an item and ebay requires tracking? This is always common in the stupid dispute process. However, its been over 7 days and the buyer hasn't entered any tracking still. How long are they going to give them to ship it back???
