Is it possible to form a DBA then get an EIN and reamin PayPal stealth?
 

I miscalculated my YTD gross sales ($27,000 vs my target of < $20,000) on a stealth account and PayPal has limited the account until I supply them with a SS# or EIN. Is it possible to form a DBA in the name of the account and then apply for a EIN to give to PayPal and still remain stealth? PayPal's happy and the IRS is happy, sounds like a win win.

Why I make things so difficult for myself I'll never know.

Any help or input would be appreciated.

yes you can apply for the dba name thats on the account but that requires your real information. I personally wouldnt mess with this because your paypal name will not match the name that created the dba. I believe thats the main problem here but wait to see what others say
