Is there a faster way to getting your money?
 

I dont see this mentioned anywhere else. I am wanting to find out if there is a way to make paypal payments available faster without actually shipping items. I've had lots of problems with buyers getting free items because I have to wait 21 days to get funds and buyers sometimes do their dirty work before a week is even passed.

If I could get around this I would be fine even if I had to make new paypals every week.

I have tried some things. Printing a shipping label off paypal, marking an item as paid on ebay, and applying for a tracking number. Don't remember if this works or not.

Paypal are going to hold your money for 21 days on any new account and if you are selling stuff that customers need to do their 'dirty work' on - well - maybe you are in the wrong business or on the wrong forum

Sounds totally shifty to me. Why would anyone want to know that information at all? if you are doing things correctly there wouldnt be any problem.

Do their dirty work? sounds like someone digging for info on how much you can get away with. ANother reason we have so many hurdles now when selling online. Thanks for that.......

Waiting 21 days until it is lifted is normal and part of doing business with ebay. I seldom have to wait the full 21. I ship quick and in most cases money is released. Any higher amount I see if it has been delivered and ask buyer to please leave fb. Works a lot for me.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. If you add tracking number to the paypal shipping even if its first class which is a few cents more for tracking number holds come off 3-4 days after the person received there item.

If you want to receive funds without holds then have buyers pay you through a paypal invoice, but just note most buyers wont do this since they are scared they are not getting the protection.

even if you upload tracking, the hold wont go away until after the item has been delivered. the 21 days is not forever either. just provide good customer service and ship promptly and the holds will go away

It does seem shady - always trying to avoid the holds.

If you want to do business on ebay deal with the holds till they go away, if not get a merchants account..

Someone always trying to beat the system instead of working around it.

If u cannot handle holds then u do not have enough funds to operate a business.

I get my money on held accounts far less then 21 days.

Point is to work them until you have several with no holds.

Outside ebay sales = no holds!

not true, there are other forum members who claimed to have gotten holds on non-ebay transactions.

There is confirmed evidence of paypal applying holds for off ebay transactions.

It does sound very shady to me... for every 1000 items I sell a I usually only get 1 customer who pulls the dirty on me.

If you want to get your money faster then don't ship internationally. Only ship within the US. I get my money within 1 week with shipping 1st class or Priority. Shipping overseas will take much longer, of course, but you get more customer. I like overseas customers, they tend to always pay a little more then US customers.

But it seems you need to find another source of income or place to sell if you can't follow the rules of paypal. Everyone on these forums goes through the same ordeal that your in.

Until paypal trusts you or have a selling history they will put that hold. Nothing much can be done with it.

I just tried 5 old stealth accounts straight non ebay transactions and have had no holds.

Well guess what Fango, I have had sales outside of ebay with ecrater and have had holds.

OP needs to stop selling unlicensed products and stop accusing buyers of being "dirty" just because they realize what you sold them before the 21 days clear.
