10 days after reporting FB manipulation, still no response from Ebay

I reported the buyer's feedback manipulation with Ebay by sending a message 10 days ago, but still received no response from them. (Actually, the negative feedback was automatically removed after I closed the unpaid item case, but the 1 star ratings for DSR is still there and I requested Ebay to remove them).
This is my first time contacting with Ebay, so I wonder if it always takes them that long to response or does that mean they will not remove the low star without telling me?
Thanks.

It took 3 tries for me, and about 3 weeks total to get a negative removed recently.

Bingo 03-08-2012 11:13 PM

So did you have to send them 3 messages? I wonder if I bother them when sending several messages.

newjerseymax 03-08-2012 11:21 PM

Thats BS! They shouldnt keep the DSR on there!

Had to report the violation 3 times. Mines was feedback extorsion, the DSR's were removed as well.

this is why they need to get rid of one or the other. feedback was fine before DSR's came about. I dont see the need. esp when now 2 of them are auto 5 star if you ship free and upload tracking info

One more thing regarding the DSRs.
I don't really understand why I always get low star for communication (4.7-4.8) for all of my accounts.
I always reply within a few hours and talk in very kind manner even though sometimes I really want to :fight:
Perhaps the low stars might come from people who asked me to discount but got denied, then they still purchased but rated me low.
Do you have any thought on this? Thanks.

Give them a call then if it is taking too long.

Sneakee 03-09-2012 07:29 PM

Bingo are you sure the low dsr came from that feedback? I thought that when a feedback was removed the dsr always came with it?

Its people that dont think 5 is warranted for anything. Ever. To them that means perfect. And perfect is impossible. [So they have said]

Its such a stupid system. I have an account that I have to date been able to reply to questions within minutes. Just lucky and always at the computer when it comes in. Never once any longer than 5 minutes. I have had at least 3 people give me a 4 on communication... One a 3. They dont get it. A system that relies on people being slightly wittier than a pail of water will be flawed on eBay. Always

The negative/positive feedback, albeit abused is there for a reason. The DSR is a pointless mess. Item as described is about the only one that has any worth....

Sneakee 03-10-2012 05:22 AM

I've always hated the dsr ratings. But since it looks like they will never go away I would just be happy if they kept track of the people that rate low ALL THE TIME.

Can't they go "Hum, this person has purchased 20 items in the last month and all 20 items got 3 stars in every category" and maybe stop allowing that person to leave dsrs?

Also, I know there are sellers who buy and will NEVER leave a decent dsr for another seller because they consider it their "competition". I think that's just wrong.

I do. But you cant reply direct anymore. And no way in hell am I using ebay app or site on my phone. Too many permissions for my liking... So if I'm not in my office I cant reply.

I'm 100% sure low DSR came from that guy because DSR dropped significantly after he left FB and he is the only one gave me the red.
For now, I don't want to call Ebay because I don't want them to ask some questions I don't want to answer over the phone.
My plan is to open the basic store after this low DSR is removed. But if it takes too long and I can't wait, should I open a store now? In case Ebay doesn't want to remove it, does low DSR + opening a store affect my account or anything?
Thanks.

I have several oversea buyers who left 2 messages at the night time (I really mean NIGHT TIME - after 2am). Then in the morning I check, the second message said that ''I'm still waiting for your response" or "where are you dude?" ...
With this kind of buyers, I wish they only ask then go.
