Default To those on Ebay right now

Are your sales down ?

I've got a huge drop in sales right now its dwindling fast when after (Thanks to everybody here ) I got back on things were on an upward swing all of a sudden its started sliding down with a bang !!

Anyone else ?

I just did a query on 1 bid items to see how things were moving in my category
out of the thousands of items listed only 600 items have 1 bid and thats something I've never seen before !!

I imagine that with all the media doom & gloom about the economy, people may be tightening their belts. Do you ship international? I was doing great business with overseas customers...many have quite deep pockets.

Food prices going up pretty sharply on some items, and Sam's Club (warehouse store division of Walmart) and Costco are limiting the amount of rice members can purchase. At this point, I would not be surprised if the very worst happened, economy-wise. When I sell software, more & more of the buyers are coming from Europe. Dollar has lost a ton of value.

Those international sales are coming from countries that have a great exchange rate against the US dollar. I even include OZ. I buy goods, get them shipped from the USA and
still do not pay as much if I purchase in OZ.

I was getting a lot of buy it now - but suddenly sales have dropped for me too. In fact .. they dropped so quickly I thought maybe ebay had pulled my listings from the search -- so nobody could see them.

Maybe it's the weather - it's getting nicer outside so people are spending more time away from their computers. Summer is always a little slower for me ... but not this slow. :(

WOW! I TOO have had a big drop in sales on my thriving accounts.

I've noticed also it's taking longer for things to show up in active searches. I can find things by seaching by the item number, but it took about 6 hours yesterday for my listings to show up in searches AND under the "view seller's items" link.

over on Ebays seller central I posted the same question the respose from everybody is its the new best match Ebay is gearing up towards the big companies and trying to weed out the small sellers unless your dsrs are 5 straight across with 100% feedback your item will appear at the end of the search

I seller stated she gave out free shipping and still had bad shipping dsrs

But on the otherhand my sales on Amazon took off
so its an odd situation used to be the other way around

yeah, it's impossible to keep a 5 on shipping time. i couldn't ship out the items any quicker. i ship within 24 hours of receiving payment. i don't know what these idiot buyers want. i guess they should be receiving their product before the auction is even over. i bet i still wouldn't get perfect 5s for shipping time.

My sales on Amazon are quite high now too, strangely enough, after being quiet for over a month.....unfortunately, eBay has the reputation of a bargain bin, & buyers are pretty stingy. I get some ridiculous offers occasionally.

I know......some buyers receive their item the next frigging day (after paying only $6.50 for expedited shipping on CD's & software products), yet there are idiots who are apparently giving me 4's on shipping time.

that's the problem with letting buyers determine if a seller is good or not. a lot of people expect the impossible, and most will not give a perfect 5.

Yea, the best match has effected me, EVEN though I'm on 100% feedback, and have 4.9 on all DSRs.

It really is a piss take, I don't know why I'm not ranking well.

Although I'm lucky enough to still be trading, my sales are really awful. I sell on both .co.uk and .com and sales are truly woeful.

A friend at work who sells summer clothes usually has fantasic sales this time of year but she's sold hardly anything either :(

Way of the world I guess :(
