Lol! Proving identity to pp with stealth info!???

Ok I'm just gonna give you a quick debriefing for where I am at.
-opened a new Pp and eb about November last year.
-Verified the bank account with eBay to increase my limits.
-I let it sit until feb without sales.. Whilst browsing for random stuff and bidding on random stuff I'll never win.
-I sold a few things . So eg; in the past month and a half I have had approx $1,500 worth of sales. But
... I am not making listings in the same category. Eg; when my first ever item was a phone, then old car seats, then a watch, then an iPad stand, then a bag.
.. So, the first item I waited 2 weeks before I withdrew to my bankacc then the next about a week and 3 or four days for the last couple.. I am always leaving about $150 in pp
Then I get the horrible horrible thing on my pp saying "your account has been restricted"

Confirm your identity.
-confirm credit card.
-confirm identity
-confirm address
-supplier info
-proof of ownership of items
-invoices
-proof of shipment

WTF!
This acc is completely stealth.
With a name variation and an address that is about 5 houses away from mine.
How on earth do you prove your identity with stealth info? And.... What have I done wrong that this has happened!? I have got $590 frozen in pp .. What now?
I'm not to sure if eb is Involved in this problem or If it's just pp .

A name variation isn't really stealth... Your problem is that you did not go 100% stealth. You probably got manually reviewed or the ebay/pp "brain" picked up on something. Manual reviews easily spot variations on names and such.

I suggest you read the guide several times and fully understand its principles, fully.

Bear in mind it is only a guide and you need to read and research these forums to make sure your plan is up to date and will fly before you go making any more accounts. That includes forward planning for the inevitable proof of ID and other info/docs that will be asked for sooner rather than later.

You got $1500 into a new paypal account over 6 weeks and you wonder why paypal limits you?

I am still a noob yes but I do remember reading somewhere it was ok even if the address used is in the same street. Maybe I was mistaken.

Wait, on the guide it says to use name variations instead of making up a totally ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name. Which one is right?

They are but coupled with different reg. info.

Name variations can be used and will work, but they are more risky than using a completely stealth name. If your account gets manually reviewed or reported by a competitor, a trust and safety agent will surely notice any name variations.

Name variations are pointless unless you are trying to reuse an old address you have access to and need the name (which isn't a good idea in itself).

I've done well over $1500 in 6 weeks without issue... Of course I didn't attempt to withdraw it all at once. $150-$250 at a time every few days. I always leave some money in the account too.

Just remember your not linked on Name Variation Alone other factors along with the name will link you.

Last time I got linked the suspended me indefinitely .

My boss opened up an eBay account only 2 months ago and has made easy over 7k worth of sales. He tried to transfer over 2k to the store account.
He got asked for EXACTLY the same info and he never had a pp or eb account before that so he definitely didn't get linked .

No I didn't withdraw all of it at once.
The first $400 I left for two weeks and only took $200 from that.
With the lots after that I still left about $200 in pp but withdrawing the rest at least 4 days after the sale was finalised.

You can absolutely have name variations, I have 6 different variations of my name attached to my stealth accounts. This is for bank purposes I don't want to deposit money into my banks with a bunch of different names.

You have to make sure though that the addresses, DOBs, nearly everything else is different. 5 houses down isn't going to cut it I'm talking about a totally new address not related at all. I doubt it was the name variation that got you either, who knows what triggered it really...could have been the money.

Account is toast imo, make a new one unless you want to hire a photoshop guy to come up with all that info.
