I don't use EP (well not recently) - still get 21 day holds.

Thats very interesting questions!

Has anyone experienced that if you DONT use EP that you wont get the 21 day holds? I havent tried it but is this true?

Makes no difference, they all seem to get them regardless

Ebayorbust 03-16-2012 03:27 PM

Holds are nothing to do with using entropay.

Need to also be aware some users posting on this thread are US, others are UK.

Note to self: type faster next time. ;) :D

So it's not entropay, but another factor?

it's like a trip to the dentist. Painful....

Was the limitation 'we have noticed suspicious activity on your account' garden variety?

I ask because that is a standard paypal protect itself if/when/because a card alert has happened on a account.

Any such alert triggers their reaction. Laugh we might, but it's a security measure to ensure account integrity. :amen:

What, if anything did entropay say?:violin:

reverof 03-16-2012 09:40 PM

Just as update - I setup in the last few days with Entropay and bank account and touch-wood no limitation yet , I haven't bought or used accounts yet though

GreenBean 03-16-2012 09:44 PM

Keep the info coming. :thumb:

paypal chucks so many variables I reckon they play for Manchester United.

Nothing seems fair with them

(paypal, Honest ;))

no it wasnt a suspicious activity limitation, just a limitation :tears:

i cant do ANYTHING on the account and they have asked for docs, there doesnt seem to be a specific reason for it.

not heard a thing from entropay, maybe its just a coincidence ;)

Killuminati 03-17-2012 08:43 AM

I got a message from paypal that my entropay card is about to expire

do i use the funds then destroy the card and add another one?

GTB 03-17-2012 12:48 PM

you can move funds to a new vcc on ep

cohiba72 03-17-2012 01:59 PM

it doesn't matter which cc card you added to your paypal entropay or other, they look to your ebay account ? and the products you are selling,if your ebay account is old and has good seller feeback and the items and the price you are selling for are reasonable and logic than they decide to leave or to start invetiation,,in the end pp wants to work and gwet percentage from sellers but they just want to keep claims and blaims far... i beleive this is the logic answer, one added entropay card they limited his account and second added entropay but they didn't .if entropay is not allowed they pp system will dclined it automaticly.hope my opinion is right

Callidus 03-20-2012 03:08 PM

Not being funny but the guy above has a very valid point regarding entropay, probably has nothing to do with it. I have made more accounts in the last few days and I have had no problems what so ever!

sokol3k 03-20-2012 05:12 PM

hi yeah i have opened 2 weeks ago.. and have no problems with Entropay... its cool

cortex 03-21-2012 06:44 PM

just seen this thread...i used entropay on monday...no problems so far.
just added another entropay to another account today. ill keep you updated if any does change.

usually when it says " we cant add this card at this time, please contact your card issuer" its because you need to give entropay a few minutes to activate the card. if you add the 16 digits a couple seconds after u make the vcc then you usually get that message....i say "usually".

good luck!

sokol3k 03-22-2012 07:59 AM

I agree , please let entropay few days or few hours to get active. and then you can link it sometimes it happnes ... please be avare of that!

cortex 03-22-2012 08:45 AM

Waiting 5 minutes is usally enough time.

Also make sure you have >£5 in the VCC. Having pennies in the VCC may complicate things further.

Killuminati 03-23-2012 02:52 PM

My entropay card is about to expire so i transfered the funds to a new entropay card destroyed the old one and added the new entropay card to paypal and confirmed it no problems at all.
