| | attaching paypal to acquired ebay account Hi,
I have a good standing ebay selling account I got, but I don't have his PayPal account, can I purchase a verified PP account from this forum and link it to that old ebay account, what is the recommended procedure? the eBay is an israeli ebay account so I guess I cannot link an american PP to it, right?
Thanks for helping out. |

Thanks for helping out. | Is your good e/b account, from a banned IP? and the name on it is the same name as your banned accounts?
If yes, then i'm sorry to say it's better to start again you account might last a few months but they will catch you when they do checks! |

Thanks for helping out. | dont do it. im sure there is a reason why this "good standing" ebay account does not also have a paypal to go with it.
start over stealth and build a "good standing" ebay account of your own. |
Thanks tanxful for your reply.
No, the IP is not banned, the account is in good standing, in fact there is no selling limit on that account it was opened sometimes during 2008 and it has no issues at all.
I purchase this account from a friend but I don't want to push it and ask for his PayPal details too.
So how can I obtain an Israeli PP or would a verified US will work? and what is the technical procedure doing it?
Thanks for your help. |
| NoneOther | 03-25-2012 10:22 AM | DONT DO IT
If the e/b account is in "good standing" then it still has a p/p account attached.
If it doesn't then it is not in "good standing"
Either way adding another p/p account to it will flag it immediately and in all probability get limited.
Start over with new ⊗⊗⊗⊗ accounts |
and what if I replace the PP account with another one? |
no it doesn't have PayPal attached I just checked that, is there nothing that can be done?
Can't I attach a different PayPal without risking loosing this account :-( please help... |
| NoneOther | 03-25-2012 11:53 AM | If the e/b account does NOT have a p/p account attached then it is NOT in GOOD STANDING i.e. there has been a previous problem with the p/p account that was attached to it.
Attaching another p/p account to it will result in LIMITATION of both e/b and p/p accounts DO NOT DO IT
How many different ways would you like me to say it? |
| hackteck | 03-25-2012 02:09 PM | or maybe his friend detached his paypal account from the ebay account before he sold it i would ask your friend the status of the paypal account that was originally attached |
| NoneOther | 03-25-2012 02:13 PM | Even if that is the case attaching a new p/p account to it is enough to get both limited.
Detaching a p/p account from e/b does not eradicate the fact that it has had one or the details of that p/p account. Its one of the basics of understanding stealth that e/b and p/p retain ALL info for EVER |

What's the difference between his eB and pp. Just switch all the personal info slowly eg. bank accounts, address. If you do it correctly that account won't even be connected to him at all besides his name and DOB.
Best way as mentioned above and advised by everyone is to just start a new one by yourself and build it up, you're going to have to anyways if you plan to sell in higher amounts.
If you really want to roll with this eB account then just give it a shot and see what happens. Make a new stealth Israeli pp account, attach it to the eb and try to sell. Worst case the account gets shut down. That's why don't buy a pp account from US, make your own, and start new stealth accounts in case it fails or better yet just start new stealth accounts either way. |

How many different ways would you like me to say it? | Why do you guys keep saying this? It's not entirely true. I have had a couple eb accounts where I've detached the current good standing paypal for a new one for various reasons I won't go into and it has worked fine.
Maybe his friend just didn't want his banking info or personal info like SSN or whatever Israel equivalent to that is, being known. Yeah as hackteck suggest ask your friend how his pp account stands and if there's no problems take a shot at it. Either way the best thing to do in any case is to MAKE MORE STEALTH ACCOUNTS. |
| NoneOther | 03-25-2012 02:44 PM | Why take any risk when its easier just to start fresh with new ⊗⊗⊗⊗ accounts.
No hassle and no wasting bank accounts |

No hassle and no wasting bank accounts | Risk vs. reward, I'd easily risk a bank account to have a chance at owning an '08 eb account with no selling limits. |

Thanks everybody, just woke up and saw your great input!
I'd like to explain,
The account is unlimited! for me it's amazing, besides this new one I hold two non-stealth accounts on eBay that keeps accumulate copyright violation strikes (I hate it).
I have one unlimited (registered by my name) and another one (registered by my friend name) I try to sell through it more than 8 month now, and it's still has limits currently it can hold up to 450 items and $6000, every month I keep calling eBay and they double my limits numbers (last month it was 225, $3000) and it's never enough, I work with high volumes so I must have unlimited selling accounts, when do you estimate they will completely remove the limitations?
The new eBay account I mentioned in the thread, I got from a friend, he was selling through it in the past some arts and other stuff.
He gave me the account and just removed the PP info from it, so I figured all I need to do is to create a PP stealth account or buy one.
jamblix, I fully agree with what you said about Risk vs. reward, so I guess I'm going to give it a try.
Only thing, I don't know how to start, so do I better open a new legit PayPal account and attach to it? or should I create a stealth (I thought maybe put my wife's details on it, with a different IP, address, phone, etc., of course). any suggestions on this?
Thanks everyone for writing your thoughts and experience on this thread. |

the advice from the posters covers both sides.
Risk v reward....:noidea:
You now 'own' ebay account A that had a paypal account.
You have decided to change your business practices.
You are going to be a business now.
Phone/email ebay. get their advice about what you could do to change ( cough cough)the name to a business name.
In that cnoversationas about using your new paypal account. 'Cos you closed the other one because you were changing business :amen:
See what I am saying :spy: if not send me a pm ;)
It's not unreasonable to speak to ebay... | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 01:09 PM. | |
