WRONG that's where all the money is.
Like the NBA basketball, don't break something that's working
Most of my listings are auctions, this way I know for a fact when what is going to end. And be generally just more organized

Hum, for me the last two months have been horrid for sales on Ebay. I can barely sell anything. It seems like I'm relisting more than listing new items.

I suppose it depends on what you sell. I sell a lot of books - mostly rare books - and listing auctions would kill me. If your item is a commodity item, that might be a different story.

I've not noticed slow sales. Of course, summer is right around the corner. But last summer wasn't too bad. The year before was TERRIBLE - I almost had to put my cat on a diet....

Poor Kitty!

I find Auctions too much of a risk and gamble. I like BIN which for me I sell all my items in 2-3 days Max. I get my cash and move on.

Auctions for me are selling more then buy it now price. I figure buyers think they will get a lower price for auctions, but they come to the same price usually that the buy it now price was at. Then you got alot of bidders just bidding for bidder history.

Depends on what your product is - but in general, you can expect a bit of lull as folx go on vacation, etc.

I run auctions with 10% higher buy it now. My price points make the BIN around $4-5 more. Nearly 80% do BIN. The funny thing is sometimes when they try the lower auction price, they actually wind up paying over BIN, if another buyer also wants it.

As gas prices hit 5.00 or more you will see more people at home and on the puter!

Hopefully.

I think Sandy D is right. A few years ago, we just drove everywhere without a second thought. Now, we try to take care of more than one thing in each trip, if at all possible. We THINK before we drive. Not that we have drastically cut back, but still, maybe 10% - 15% or so.

The higher gas prices DO make a difference. Where I'm at, gas is $4.39. They could at least put golden colored nozzles on the pumps!
