Default Does Premier still exist ?

I was just about to sign up for PayPal again when it asks if I am personal or business. I am a sole trader, but go under my own name. I used to pick Premier. What do I pick now ? I know business sounds obvious but Business usually means under a business name.

What does everyone pick now ? Should I start with Personal then just upgrade ?

Don't think personal accounts exist anymore they're either premier or business now so if you select personal you will open a premier account

If you pick a business PP, they will request company number.

If PP Premier has served you will up until now, I see no need to change that, especially as you are a sole trader.

NoneOther is correct. Premier or Business only now.

direct quote from PP 14.02.2012:

Quote:
PayPal is going to offer two different account types; PayPal (Premier) for your personal use, & PayPal for your business use.

The personal account was mainly for buying & it allowed a very minimal amount of selling. We found that most of our customers liked to be able to both buy & sell from the same account & this meant most had a Premier account.

Thanks guys. So I pick the personal use option then for Premier and then just select sole trader ? My old Premier one got shut down, so can't use that anymore sadly, but I still have a old personal one (not stealth) but that still shows up as "Personal". Kinda confusing really.

SUVE - However, an experienced member on here put in a post before they have turned over a 100k over a couple of months on a PREMIER account?

There's no limit to how much a sole traders business can turnover but usually when they reach a certain level it makes sense financially to become a ltd company bit not everyone does

Premier accounts are for members who will have a high transaction volume, need to accept credit card payments, or would like access to our special features not offered with Personal accounts. Premier accounts include all the benefits of Personal accounts, as well as our special features.

The above PP descriptor does not say anything about any sending/receiving limits on the PP A/C.

I would not believe everything that is written on here as gospel truth.

Thanks everyone. What do people who go stealth choose for "Business Information" (under Profile) when using a Premier account ? On my old one I had it set to sole trader, and gave all business info. On my new stealth one at the moment it says "not mentioned", so is it wise that I change this to sole trader now ? Or wait until I get to £1900 ?

Also, on the direct debit info, does it matter that it has a stealth name on the direct direct form ? Also, do I just choose any branch or is it important it is my local one ? I signed up online with my bank but I remember it asked me which branch I wanted to choose, but I am not sure I want to use that one.

You have extensive questions beyond Premier & Business PP A/C - I'd suggest you search about on the board for the answers to your questions.
