Asking for docs but unsure of one item asked for

I need a bit of advice. I have been asked for the following under a "Verify Your Address" banner......

Utility Bill
Valid Residence Certificate
Valid Bank Account or Card Statement

What is a Valid Residence Certificate if in the UK ? They haven't mentioned a passport or drivers licence, so not sure what it means. My account is already verified but I logged in under a proxy and this must have triggered a automatic limited account. Is there any way around the send docs thing ? As I don't want to send info that may link me in future if I can help it.

I can send legit docs. I thought being verified meant my address was already verified, seems a bit extreme just because a proxy was used.

Council tax bill

Tenancy agreement

Rent book

There is no way around sending them what they want. If you don't the account will remain limited

Using a proxy is a big no no, they suspect your account may have been hijacked so they are doing it for your protection

?A proxy. No a good choice for the UK.

They want confirmation of your residential address. :suspicious:

It's noted here that paypal will come back and re-ask for info even with verified/confirmed accounts.

Dont laugh, paypal limited your account to make sure it was not hacked :juggle:

Thanks for the info. I tried to make sure the proxy location was near my actual location, but it may have had "secure" ticked in the software which I think encrypts the proxy data, so perhaps that made it worse. I was only really testing for when I use my stealth account. I have had success with proxies before, especially premium ones (not ones you just get off the net for free), but I guess this time I was unlucky. But like you say, they are doing it for my benefit, so I should be happy as I have been fleeced before for a lot of money.

So I am guessing most UK people here use either dynamic or dial-up or mobile dongle ? What is the best method if you have a static IP like me ? If I used dial up or mobile then how do I make sure it doesn't see my router connection, or do I just disable the ethernet adapter in my control panel each time ?

Any proxy will get you hung, premium or not. e/b/& p/p know them all.

Mobile broadband is the key.

With regards your router........turn it off or unplug the e/net cable
