Verifying a credit card
 

On my new stealth account I added a VCC but it hasn't asked for it to be verified, and all limits are already lifted except the £1900 one which is to be expected. Yet if I go in to the credit card option there is a small link that says "verify and link" or words to that effect. Is there any point in me doing this if it won't lift any limits ? I don't sell on EB so is this why people do it ?

Also the same for the phone, I am not asked to verify my phone number. Is this another EB only thing ?

Confirming the vcc confirms your address nothing more. Confirming the bank account raises the initial limits.

Things have definitely changed then. I am sure I used to have to confirm the phone at least, 5 odd years ago anyway.

So if I use my EP VCC card and verify it, then it is better than not doing so ? Or totally pointless if I am not going to use that address to post to ? I was thinking maybe it will hold off needing to confirm address via docs.

confirming the vcc is good, makes p/p a little more happy.

You will still need to provide docs to raise the £1900 limit regardless. Its EU law.

Not to sure what you mean by not using that address to post to as the p/p address and vcc address should be the same or you will have a problem

Thanks. I thought though that I read elsewhere on here it was said that a VCC can have your real address registered and it will verify ok with stealth PP ?

depends on the vcc but yes the main vcc has your real info but the card on p/p must have your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ details

I am a little concerned now. I used EP and have gone for verification of the card. EP is in legit name and address. PP isn't. Does this mean it may fail ? I searched the forums, some said it will work, others say to create a secondary card. Confusing.

You should never use the main e/p card always a secondary card with the same name as on your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ p/p account.

You will just need to wait and see what happens

Can you set up different names and adresses for secondary cards within Entropay? I've not seen that (nor have I looked...)

I thought name and address details were always hidden from PP by the VCC? Essentially it confirms you are owner of the card and from that they assume address verification?
