| jedd30 | 03-31-2012 12:40 PM | Have Some Questions. Hello I used eBay to sell headphones , so when someone bought from my ebay listing, its goes into Paypal , I order off of my supplier, he ships directly to the ebay buyers address.
The shipping took 20-30 days because it was from china (Woops). I was making £1000 in a week , but then I had buyers filling disputes saying item not recieved (even though I clearly stated Postage Time in Listing) .
Then my customers started to receive the headphones and now some were saying that they were faulty. (they was telling truth) I did not have the funds to refund customers.
I realized my supplier was sending "bad goods". So now I owe paypal money. If you haven't guessed it already, paypal limited my account with bank account and real address in it. Damn They started ringing today I did not answer the phone.
1. Should I answer?
2. How do I go about selling on ebay again?(ebay account banned)
3. Should I pay them back?
4. How do I sell on ebay?
and any other questions that go with it.
Thanks ever so much |
| seanws30 | 03-31-2012 08:37 PM | 1. Should I answer? Up to you really.
2. How do I go about selling on ebay again?(ebay account banned) buy the stealth guide, search the forums
3. Should I pay them back? with you bank account attached they will just keep trying to take the money anyway, but yes you should honor your debts
4. How do I sell on ebay? see #2
and any other questions that go with it. |
| jedd30 | 04-01-2012 01:46 AM | Thanks but it's not my fault supplier gave me bad stock is it , I feel that I should pay them back? |
| Callidus | 04-01-2012 01:50 AM | 1. Sounds like you were dropshipping which is always going to cause problems like this.
2. I can imagine they were BEATS headphones as they are ALWAYS going to be trouble!
3. Go stealth and YES you should pay debts!
4. Not being funny but sounds like you need to find a better supplier! |
| jedd30 | 04-01-2012 02:28 AM | I thought everyone dropshipped.
If not where do I find a supplier or whatever you do?
Thanks |
| sleepyboyz | 04-01-2012 02:52 AM | Those headphones from China are all ⊗⊗⊗⊗, probably you are ordering from Dhgate. You can get those headphones cheaper in China. Dhgate sellers got a lot of profits by selling those products. |
| Callidus | 04-01-2012 03:49 AM | Jedd30 - lots of reading to be done for you. When I get on my comp will link you to a thread under wholesale discussion on the negatives of drop shipping. |

This has to be the most stupid business plan I have ever heard of. What made you believe that you could trust your reputation and your business to someone you don't know who is thousands of miles away?
He's OK - he's got his money
You on the other hand are well and truly busted!!
Oy oy oy!!!

Dropshipping from another country is a BIG no no. Even dropshipping within your own country has it's risks. |
| jedd30 | 04-01-2012 12:12 PM | So just to ask how do you make your money online , i prefer to sell electronics |

Please don't copy my idea as patents are pending. |

| jedd30 | 04-03-2012 08:40 AM | UPDATE
I have paypal disputed every transaction I made to the supplier with a item not received, the shipping method they use is not trackable right? hes chinese btw. and ships with ems. |
It is VERY dangerous to use the SAME pp to pay your chinese suppliers AND receive money from customers - PP HATES this.
Yes - pp will automatically dispute every transaction. If your supplier is chinese, he is probably using EMS to ship - you can place that tracking code into the field.
Your funds may be released but likely, your pp wil become limited or stay that way. Very dangerous the way you operate. |
| jedd30 | 04-03-2012 08:55 AM | I know the account im using is already limited. you do not understand , im disputing my supplier on paypal will i get away with it? |
| GrannyT | 04-03-2012 09:27 AM | So let me get this right in my head.
You make an arrangement with a guy in China whereby he ships headphones to your customer. You pay him with the customers money and you make a hefty profit on the deal.
The headphones turn out to be carp and you finish up in trouble with your customers.
So you are now telling porky pies saying they were never received when in fact they were. The fact that your customers complained proves that. You got what you paid for but because the deal wasn't what you thought and because you didn't carry out due diligence regarding the quality and authenticity of the headphones you now say the man in China, who had no dealings with your customers, is at fault and you should tell porkies to get your money back.
Have I got that right?
If I were you I would be packing an overnight bag because if the boys with size 10 boots and woodentops hear about this they may well invite you to spend a few days with them helping them with their enquiries into a matter of fraud and you will want clean clothes and toiletries to use in what may well be an extended stay with them.

Do me a favour - before venturing into ecommerce again do your homework
You will do well but 2 tips. Don't scam your customers and don't scam your suppliers:nono:
Best of luck with it:thumb: |
| jedd30 | 04-03-2012 09:55 AM | I take all of it into experience. I gained so much to what I have lost. Which is like a 1000 pounds through refunds. |
| GreenBean | 04-03-2012 09:59 AM | So now is your chance to learn properly.
