| | | markflood | 04-01-2012 11:22 PM | How long does eBay keep your personnel info Last time I used a real account was 2005. And been using stealth accounts since then.
My question when your account was suspended a long time ago. Is it okay to make a real account. Does eBay keep personnel info forever?
Why so I don't have be afraid no more and I learned what to list and not list, easilier so PayPal won't be limited again, if so easy to get back |
| lightmaria | 04-01-2012 11:25 PM | My guess would be they keep your info forever, but it doesn't hurt to try? Try using your personal info again if you get suspended after a few weeks then you know your answer. Just my take. =x |
| markflood | 04-02-2012 12:46 AM | really forever on suspended, its been over 7 years. yes i was thinking using different ip and real info. |

| Sandy D | 04-02-2012 02:22 AM | Since 1995 and on.
Yes, they keep track of everything.
From what I have read they have tracked your every move on ebay, anything you clicked on, watched, bid on, etc, etc since 1997.
If your name is attached and has been used on ebay and you use any portion of anything you had in a banned account it will be caught.
It might take some time but it will be caught. |

I had a change of email on a account. Was told the old email address 6 years after it changed.
That 'real' info sits there.(sort of like sleeping).
If the info is reused it opens the (new) account to potential damage.
Long term survival is not guaranteed.
Should you be proficent with stealth it may be better to nuture such an account:typing: |
Info is kept forever - doesnt keep you from trying but best to go stealth. |
| they_screwed_me_too | 04-02-2012 06:55 AM | i had an real account suspended in 2005, i created another one with exactly the same info in 2006 which is still up and running and selling as of today,
ive also created another linked account to this (same real info) which i sell different items on and thats been ok for 2 years
i also have a third account with 1000's of feedback in the same real info that is currently suspended and im working on hopefully getting this re-instated (at which point they will notice all 3 and royally shaft me :heh:
ive got several stealthies running also but i do like the idea of a real account (guess im old fashioned)
i dont expect it to last forever but 6 years is a long time
i imagine that if there was a problem in the running of the account they may notice on a manual review and put 2 + 2 together
but hey ho |
| they_screwed_me_too | 04-02-2012 06:56 AM | so yes they do keep info FOREVER but sometimes i guess it slips under the radar IMHO |
@t_s_m_t - you are a good exception to regular activities =) |
| cortex | 04-02-2012 09:32 AM | I recently made an account under my real details with a slight name change. I have only bought a few things on in for the past few months.
I got banned in 2008 for silly reasons and i dont/wont ever sell such products again. I also did not send in my documents when they requested it.
So when I have my new account in real details all verified and running ...ill post back to keep you updated. |
| they_screwed_me_too | 04-02-2012 09:50 AM | Im also not an exception to 99% of it :-(
i have had more than my share of bad luck, guess some good luck is due. |

| cortex | 04-05-2012 10:40 AM | UPDATE: Its all up and running now, listed a few items yesterday.
Just noticed that ebay does a verification check now? Not sure if its similar to pp but it did something like this "verifying your information, this will take a few minutes" ....did that just before i got the phone call giving me the 4 digit pin.
The page was called "Review Your Information"
strange?
Lets see how long the account lasts now...touch wood!fingers n toes crossed!
that account had unlimited selling limits.
I did it again on another account but it had only 10 items limit...bah!! This pp had all limits lifted...address check done, vcc added, bank confirmed.
All were in real deatils from close friends/family |

| Haha, this sounds like something out of a doomsday sci-fi movie :thumb:
I've been wondering this myself. Ahhh, lets just say the birthday on my first Ebay account was a tinsy incorrect. Same thing with paypal. There is no way to change it but I was worried with my new accounts having the correct birthday. |
| newjerseymax | 04-06-2012 01:04 AM | If common name and all other info different then you have a chance. I too have account with same name all other info different and lasted 4yrs so far. Eventually asked for ss# due to high sales. Upgraded to business and added ein. Still going strong no limits |

| FandangoKango | 04-06-2012 01:55 AM | They keep everything. They say they don't keep ids and certain things, but they do! |
