Default Starting sales on a new account..

Hi all,

Over ALL the accounts that I have made recently I have been letting them sit for a while, selling a couple of items then leaving them again and going back to start selling up to the 100 item limit.

On the 4 accounts I have made recently and also another made 2 days ago I have had NO PAYPAL HOLDS on the money!!

Now I dont know what i'm doing or whether its the method im implementing but have no PP holds at all on all of them...

Do you think this is something im doing in my method or complete luck?

Will report back after making more accounts.

Depends on what your selling and the volume.

Its not uncommon for new accounts not to have holds initially but for them to be imposed once you start to ramp up the ££££££.

Lots of reports also of established accounts having holds imposed when there were none before

seems to me your selling as a "civilian" in ePay's eyes since most ePay users sign up and sell a little of there good's go offline, come back sell some more. IMO to eBay and being i have a few contacts there your doing exactly what should be done with all stealth accounts, Acting as if your a regular shlep trying to clear some clutter or make a few dollars (don't know what your selling)

how they see it from what I've experienced and learned from others is if you do as your doing your not raising any flags for them to question why your withdrawing money or other concerns your having.

BTW do you have a store ?

With health and beauty products i've never had holds on them even when dealing with big money 3k+ a month even - so it makes me think it's based on what category and your selling obviously theres some category which hold more risk hence the holds.

Come to think of it health and beauty hmm can't really think of any products which can be ⊗⊗⊗⊗... so it makes sense for paypal not to hold money for them type of sellers - see where i'm coming from?

But yeah would be interesting to see what category your listing on.

I would imagine it would be something like a sub category of Mobile & Home Phones.

Does this category include cosmetics because I thought that was rife with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff.

anything with a brand name is pretty much considered 'high risk' by e/b and p/p these days even if it used/secondhand and being sold by a private seller.

Yeah your right cosmetics does have ⊗⊗⊗⊗ stuff - although I was thinking more on the lines of shampoos/liquids to be exact.

These i wouldn't be surprised if the motors category had ⊗⊗⊗⊗

Thought so.

Seen quite a few on here posting they have come unstuck selling cosmetics.

Just glad I'm naturally handsome and don't need anything like that to make me look better

Lots of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ car parts these days.

Man! the Chinese will ⊗⊗⊗⊗ everything and anything if it makes them money.

I even saw on tv a while back an 40' truck that was rigged out to make ⊗⊗⊗⊗ vodka from ethanol, bottling plant and packaging, the lot.

All got sent to the Manager's room

Heck no! The shampoos have been tested to be worst of many products.
Some have been found to contain mercury sulpur & benezene. All top stuff to put on your hair and cause damage ( including cancer)

There was another whacky one for hair removal. The electric current was incorrect. Fried users when they tried it.

Its not just e/b sellers who deal in these.

Been lots of reports of TS finding them in local garages too.

People will do anything to make a buck when times are hard, and some even when times are good.
