MC081 and proof of items
 

Hi guys, got a MC081 hit on my account today, the account itself is about 8month old, but i had format my computer due to some virus thingy.

now they ask me for docs and proof that i own item.

I can solve the docs, but proof of items, should i just go and write my user name/ dob/ and date on a piece of paper and take a photo together with my item and this paper. Does it still work?

Do i need to be phyically in the photo and my face should be seen on the photo? coz that'll be a big problem.

proof of items is invoices probably. be creative!

Please post that picture if you go that route :)

Personally, I'd provide a receipt from major e-tailer in the UK. PM me if you need details.

haha i heard a lot of people going that route without the face...but anyway, my item is not something obtainable in uk, i got the receipt from japan tho so hopefully they will take that.

i've upload it to ebay also reply to the mc081 email and got a respon asking the docs again which is a bit weird, suspect that is an automated reply of some sort??

maybe someone can help me out?

They cried foul when I uploaded Chinese documents stating that they couldn't accept documents in a foreign language. They accepted them the second time I submitted them though!

What's the problem with the face? Too horrendous to be seen? :laugh:

Maybe a lesson here too - try to make sure you can show your face in the future. It makes proving you have items in your possession much easier!
